According to Paul, he basically lost his identity when the Beatles disbanded, became morose and depressed, drank quite a bit, bathed very rarely, and credits Linda with sticking by him and pulling him out of his depression.

This just actually made me start to tear up. Paul and Linda were just so perfect together, so deep in love. It's amazing how something like that can change a person so much. They look so happy. I hope that someday I will find someone to have a love like this with. Paul and Linda will always be my definition of real love.

cubomania3 Yet in every known instance of Linda talking about their marriage she only said positive things, and that she was very happy. Mhmm.
@ladymarjorie37774 жыл бұрын
Long term marriages are rarely filled with love and happiness day in and day out. We are only on the outside looking in (only on what we are allowed to see). My marriage is still going strong after 38 years. My parents before me for 60+ years. Marriage is challenging with many rough patches. I refrain from romanticizing the McCartney marriage too much. This was a sweet video though. A snapshot in time.

It is about taste. She obviously wanted and had horse riding lessons and enjoyed the outdoors. I'd guess when they were up at the farm they had help in maintaining that free lifestyle which most people in those parts at that time could not afford.

+joan Jones You know she was if she lived in a dump like that.
@lindaduncan17758 жыл бұрын
They werent living in a dump-that farm was a busy working farm for years-my father worked in it at one time because its in our home town.Its also situated in a particularly beautiful part of Scotland,and before Im accused of being biased,dont judge without visiting the place first.The Campbeltown people ,which is where the farm he owned is and still does,thought very highly of the pair of them-theres a memorial garden dedicated to Linda in the centre of town simply because they were accepted into the community and appreciated for the attention it brought to the town.And if I am a wee bit biased then maybe-but Im proud to say my Uncle was in the pipe band who played on Mull of Kintyre and Im also proud to have photos of of him,Paul and Linda McCartney on my wall-lovely memories
@MsDoxma8 жыл бұрын
Linda Duncan Umm, in what way did I disparage Linda? Regardless of what this farm looked like to you, it was a dump to me in this video. In the part where either parent was holding a cup of coffee and watching their toddler through the window, you think it is acceptable for this child to hang out in the debris where that blue corrugated thing was? And that is not a dump to you? It is deplorable.

74th ANNIVERSARY HER BIRTH TODAY!!! LINDA McCARTNEY (September 24, 1941 - April 17, 1998) Linda McCartney was an American musician, photographer and animal rights activist, entrepreneur and publisher who was married to Paul McCartney of the Beatles.

It must have been quite lonely for Heather in the first few years in Scotland.BUT asked by Oprah Linda never had maids, nannies, cooks, she was a regular Mom and that grounded Paul. So sad he lost Linda.If not for Linda, he might never had written another song again. He managed not to turn to drugs, and you have to give that to his one true love~~Linda And she had a sweet voice.

think bout any fancy hotel inthe whole world: brazil, france, canada, spain, thailand, caribe, anyplace/anyhow paul was able to be there everywhere :) but, instead, he choose a cabin far away with no facilities at all. Just him, linda, heather and a baby. I really love this choice from a man who could be at any place in the planet. Oh, yes: and, beside all, he can play. And play so good, so so so. A god. Nice.

cubomania3 , Has nothing to do with Hippies.....take a look at most working class Europeans from then and even till this day. The need of air conditioning, forced air heaters, big cars, and large homes is not culturally engrained in them.....thank God for their cuisine (especially French) which makes up for all these insignificant details in the overall scheme of things....
