Great video! Now all you people out there that think 15k to hang a quarter is to much watch and see how much goes into a job like this and getting it too look like a factory install and at times even better than factory....good quality work is not cheap!.... And there is no such thing as a professionally restored car for 50k in 2024!... The only way your going to restore a car under 50k is to go acquire all the skills and tools and do it yourself..... And now you know why there aren't that many fully restored cars done by the owner and under 50k. Excellent work Joe you did a fine job of showing the process and what it takes to get a quarter right on a car.

Excellent outcome! Thank you for sharing the details of the process. Quality doesn't happen by magic. It takes time and patience. Test, fit, adjust, repeat. I know that the Roadrunner has some rust, but it could have been much worse. You are making it new again.

That air nozzle tip works a treat don't it? Wet rag warps stuff too much/easily. I was going to mention too that a lot of those spots get seam sealer so the bulk will get hidden but then you said something right as i was typing! That is one hell of a job hanging that quarter in my opinion its a lot more work than building an engine but looks like you do a good job at both very talented young man did your dad teach you body work or did you pick it up on your own i have done a lot of both but not as good at body work as mechanic work i hung two quarters on a 67 gtx about 40 years ago a lot more work than what i thought ever since i trade most of my body work off getting old Joe all the work you do is excellent keep it up watching you work in this video wore me out thanks

Joe, just behind the door where theres no metal (1/4 panel not quite right) you can build or add metal by using your mig welder then grind it in to the proper shape to match the original. Do you have those replacement trunk panels ready or are you waiting for them to be shipped to you?

Replacement trunk panels are all ready. I wanted them out for ease of access to everything
