I have a 1979 Puma GTE. It's an amazing car to drive. Congratulations on the beautiful specimen. You rarely see one in this state, even here in Brazil. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.

There was an italian company also producing 'Sportscars' on VW chassis with plastic bodies under the same brand name. I have never found out if there were rights infringement cases. Anyhow, the brazilian Puma to me is a very well designed object. The multitude of design cues were molded into a very appealing, yet simple instant classic. Based on the most popular, easy to maintain and rugged running gear around. What a brilliant idea. I have always thought, what a car it would be with the 914 as a base. Thankyou.

The car is very fun to drive. Power is surprisingly good since it is such a light car and handles very well.
