Those repairs give a new meaning to ‘spot’ welds!

I can see a lot more empty cereal packets being cut up for templates before this car is finally roadworthy again, but once complete it will be a little gem and great fun to drive though not to many motorway journey's l had a 1969 Austin 1300 a few years ago l found 50-55 to be it's happiest cruising speed. Look forward to the next instalment.

Looks like everything you need to make the wolseley a viable repair, plus some of the steel will come in useful for patching and repairing

Gradually all those 1100s/1300s are getting melded together… eventually they will all become one single car! Could be worse.. I had a friend who had a dark green 1100 (once belonged to his gran..). I did a decoke on it for him, and while we had the head off we smoothed out the inlet and exhaust passages a bit and trimmed the combustion chambers. He let on to his dad what we’d done and got into trouble, as dad was sure it would invalidate his insurance but I only found that out 50 years later! I learnt to drive in an 1100 (BSM..) thought they were a friendly little car, but a real rot-box. Good luck with the melding process😄 Les

Good find, no need to have a guilty conscience in YUB becoming a worthy donor to save the Wolseley , despite being in Aqua ! .

Body looks reasonable apart from the floor, I had a Morris 1100 years and years ago, it was not bad a car, kind wish i kept it, had a Hillman Avenger 1500, Ford Escorts, first car was a Mini van 850cc which barely got over 50mph IF it did it took FOREVER 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That just needs a tickle with a mig welder.

The 1275 engine had to be gone! I bet it would be very easy to replace it with the Honda R engine, compared to the Mini, you've so much more room!

I'm really enjoying this project, but my ears didn't enjoy the wind noise. I only made it as far as 2:39 before it became too painful to continue. Please get some kind of wind shield for the mic.

Sorry, I forgot the mic I just bought, so it was the phone mic. You could always watch the rest with subtitles on 😉

@@whatsintheworkshop4478 Perfect, thanks! I didn't bother trying because the last video I did that on, for the same reason, the subtitles were complete gibberish. On this video they were absolutely fine.
