I was drummajor in a small local drum corps at that time and Jimmy Centorin, the soloist, was our brass instructor. We also had Jack Shelmer as a drum instructor for a short time. However, they were busy with the Crusaders so they could not spend as much time with us as they should. I took over and got our routine completesd and cleaned up. Go BAC.

53 years later, today is December 27th 2023. Thank you for posting this video, brings back great memories from when we had Real Drum and bugle Corps. May they all rest in peace. In my opinion, DCI has turned the activity into a marching band competition, superimposed on a three-ring circus former member of the Long Island sun rises 1964 through 1968

i was at that show, 6 years later i was proud to wear that BAC uniform for 2 years plus 1 show overage in '78 😇

Many of you may not know this but BAC was the first to use multi drums and actual West Point Cadet uniforms. They were innovators in many ways.

I was there. Stokie led BC. Fantastic drum line. One of those years, Crusaders got robbed of a national title. Politics. Another year us Debonnaires got robbed at the World Open. We won top girl corps too often. Ed Damon, drill instructor, and George (Day?) Music, tried to comfort us. Those were a couple of rough days. One of our sopranos, Marie Donovan, was Stokies girlfriend. Stokie: BAC drum major.
