I'm deeming this kitchen: Organic Modern Traditional Design.
This project has been 8 months in the making. 2 months of intensive design and planning and 6 months of construction. There isn't a 2x4 that wasn't touched in this process, and I hope you enjoy seeing 8 months of work in one video.

Grace- GREAT JOB!!! Enviable kitchen because you made such great decor choices! I especially LOVE the cabinet color. That deeper pewter color gives so much more character and depth while still pulling off being in the “white cabinet” category! I have to paint my cabinets and I was considering using revere pewter or even “light pewter” by BM so your renovation was a great example for me. Also, one thing I’m curious about is what kind of interior cabinetry upgrades did you choose (dividers, spice racks, pullouts, etc….). A tour of just your kitchen cabinets and how you harnessed organization upgrades or resources would be very interesting too! (If you ever have time- lol). This was such a great video! Also your cabinet pulls and handles- what company did you order from?

Beautiful renovation. An eight-month slog! I like the idea of the corner with the open shelves. Brilliant. Carrying the walnut notes around the room ties it all together, and I don't think there's anything nicer than a fireplace in the kitchen. Enjoy your space.

How much did this reno cost? I notice you have floating shelves instead of a corner cabinet. Can you explain what you did in that corner? What type of cabinet did you use on the bottom in that corner. Is there a lazy susuan there? The living area by the fireplace seems tiny. So I assume you have a second living room elsewhere? Where is the dining table located? 🤔 Forgive me..... I'm new here.

The base cabinet is just dead space as it didn’t make sense to utilize it for such a small corner. The living room is being added on and the dining room will be where our current temporary room is. Welcome!🤗

Absolutely stunning kitchen. I have to rewatch this video a few times because I could not absorb it all the first time watching. My question is why did you choose lighter color floors and walnut island/cabinets? I understand if darker floors would darkened the space. I’m wondering if that’s why. I’m looking to lighten my kitchen and I do like the mix of light countertops, light cabinets, and then darker wood throughout. You and your contractors did an amazing job. 👏🏼

Stunning. Love the lights over the island. Never seen sconces by the stove. I know for me, I would be worried that the moisture and oil from cooking would dirty up those sconces quickly involving frequent cleaning. Let us know how that goes.

What a beautiful finish! I am curious to learn more about your experience with the double oven, and what led you to go with that option over a traditional oven + secondary wall unit? I’ve been toying with the idea of two ovens (electric) installed in base cabinets with a drop-in gas cooktop. It can be done! I’ve also looked at a double oven option like what you have. I really don’t want to give up wall cabinets or counter space for a second oven.

Good question! I love having the double oven for cooking at different temps as we host often. The downside of this style is that the ovens are much smaller than a wall unit double oven. So less fit into each oven. But I wanted windows and didn’t have the wall space for a wall unit. So I suppose it just depends on your needs!

I definitely would’ve put the sink looking out the window and made the whole entire island a workspace. I design these things and that has always been odd to me when people want their sink in their island not looking at a window as well as putting their dishwasher next to their sink. That’s not in the island. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Putting the sink under the window would have made it directly next to the stove. I didn’t have a choice on that portion of the layout due to a drain pipe in the wall. Just what worked for our situation ☺️
