Just for general interest: same method for 71 and lates B ( not just up to 74 ) and all E bodies. It can be removed with cluster attached too, just would need a bit of care.

I was thinking of getting one of those pads to hide my cracks on the dash but I thought it wouldn't look right but after seeing yours on there I'm quite impressed how good it looked.

They look ok. But it didn’t hold up. For the price though, if you have to do it twice over 10 years it’s way cheaper though. Plus can be done in the car without removing it so it’s easy.

can you show how to replace the heater core after the dash is removed. cant find a video for that anywhere.

You shouldn't have to remove the dash for the heater core. At least I didn't have to on my 74 Roadrunner. Could possibly be different if it has AC.

That did not look like a lot of fun but nice to see you got it out. Are your vent controls under the dash? How is your heater box connected to your ducts? I am trying to figure out my Challenger connections as there was nothing there when I bought it. Thx!
