My parents had the '71 Country Sedan (blue without the wood grain). Rode in those back seats many times on vacations. The backs of the fold down seats were solid steel.

Looks like something that you would have seen in 1975 -78 , depending on how it was taken car of . Like everything else in those day's they were rust buckets 😊

If the air conditioning compressor has an aluminum case, it is a Tecumseh. York compressors have cast iron cases.

We had the '72 in this same color. Looks identical right down to the rust holes.

Not bad atall. Can't tell if it has a/c or what engine it is - i imagine it's 351 or 400. Although it could be a 302 (might have been only available in the Galaxie or Country Sedan) or a 429, there were a lot of options back then.

We know what rotted the float arm off of the fuel gauge in the fuel tank, good old American horrible crappy ETHANOL in the gasoline. My 1976 Ford LTD and all the pile of service records replace the fuel float in the tank. The owner of the gas station his classic car the fuel float rusted off, he sells non-ethanol gasoline. And down the street from me is HQ that sells no Ethel gasoline. It's the only thing you can run these classic cars on and it's usually 50 cents if you're lucky but a dollar more per gallon. I won't run any of my classic cars on the oh God it's a dollar cheaper Temptation at the pump because I don't like pulling gas tanks out and replacing fuel senders and replacing fuel pumps with torn internal diaphragms from that it's so much cheaper Temptation ethanol gasoline.
