Hey my Dentist when I was a kid had the exact same ride but painted a crazy Mopar purple. It always cracked me up that this 60 year old Dentist would buy that beast brand new and drive it everyday.

That has to be like the holy grail of Hemi Cuda"s! 1971 was the last gasp for the high compression Chrysler Corporation muscle cars. Ford and GM had already knocked the compression down in their cars. I consider myself fortunate to have been working in A dealership when these were new. Thanks for the memories!

Nice old Cuda. He sure has some nice high dollar Mopars in his collection. This car sure has guts! Wow! What a treat to ride around in a car like that. I remember these cars new they were sure the thing back in 1971. I was 13 years old when this car was made and it sure looks like new yet and look at that mileage too. First one I have seen in a while with a clock that operates too. Thanks for sharing Lou!

I had a 71' 383. Originaly auto colum but the previous owner dropped a 4spd. Love your WHITE COLOR CUDA' mine was Orange black billboards. Bought new in Alice Tx. I drove it up north starter relay gave me fits. Had some issues and sold it. REGRET IT TO TODAY.

No disrespect to the Challenger but everytime i see a 70 to 74 Cuda in white with no vinyl top i consider them also a Kowalski car in which if i owned one then i want to dress just like him and go for a roadtrip. I think is because of the body style it gives me that sense of nostalgia that keeps me excited everytime i see one in this color.

Actually spent many years driving to WRIGLEYVILLE ( “West Cornelia ” 1998-2106, in A ‘97 Dodge Intrepid Sport, few years in a Grand Cherokee),, and previous years too. Been past DePaul and on many Chicago,Streets,Lakeshore Drive,etc...Anyways, good times... relocated to East Helena MT NOW...still sort of MOPAR Guy , got a 2015 Journey 4CYL( Great Mileage/Drive: though use THE Studded Nokian TIRES In Winter & summer Nokian, not really a CUDA TIME.).........ps::do kind of miss VISITING CHICAGO, & (Klaremont Collection) ART INSTITUTE, CUBS WRIGLEY FIELD, ETC.Occasionlly,did enjoy prowling streets, Lake Shore, Museums, Friends, Greektown!,,,,,!,best of Day.

Fun Fact: People always talk about the LS6 Chevelle and how rare they are and they are of course. Chevy only made 4,475 LS6 cars in 70 between the coupes, convertibles, and El Camino's which is why they are so sought after. The Hemi cars were produced from 1966-1971 and in total they only made about 9,200 total builds for all their models. in that span.. Chevrolet built half of what Chrysler took 6 years years to build in 1970 alone!!!! It's just a little perspective on why any Hemi factory build in the late 60s and early 70s is so rare and expensive these days....And let us be honest at least half of them probably got blown up!!!

This is an amazing vehicle considering its originality. Really don't know if genuine leather was offered on Barracuda in 70. It was offered on the more upscale Challenger with the SE package. I hope that these wonderful gems can be outfitted with shoulder harnesses considering the unfortunate accident that injured Kevin Hart and his friends. I realize that his car appeared to be a low riding resto mod with a He'll Cat hemi. Thanks for sharing the video Lou.

Just subscribed so don't know this guy's background, but was he wealthy when he bought the 1st couple back in late 70s or early 80s? I mean I know he has to be now with all those convertible hemis and 6 packs Just seems like an interesting guy. I had a 70 charger R/T SE 440 6pack 4 speed that was triple black and in Detroit was a place called RTS and he told me it was 1 of 48 4 speeds but Chrysler didn't keep count of how many were SE. Not sure if it was true but that was 40 years ago. I still have the original hood and rear end from that car. I still remember XS29VOG.....I was 17 when I got it.

Hi HPOWLMAN, It's based on location (difficult to ride when videoing at a car show) and how much time we have together. When I'm videoing 1 car, and we have a little time, I can ride to. Recently in the last month and a 1/2 I did two rides the 1926 Bentley & 1960 Chrysler 300 F. I would like to know how these cars are maintained, such as how often are oil and filter changes? Other maintenance like the need for fluid changes as the years pass by.

Just like any other car, change the fluids like oil yearly, and other fluids when needed.

My 383 had a cam alumium manifold & holley carb. It screamed for a 383.

The data Plate is held with screws, Is that normal? Most Chevy and Ford data Plates are riveted?

This car sounds like it has higher compression then other cars you had on your channel. Do you no what the compression is it doesn't seem stock but the owner says it all original
