You are a very lucky man to have the resources and knowledge to be able to do this level of restoration at your home. Most of us couldn't do that or we would at least have to farm out some of the work which I would think you most likely will have to do also. Keep up the good work learning a lot from these videos!

That trans mount fabrication was brilliantly innovative. Using modified stock pieces from both cars, getting it so high and tight, for max ground clearance. Really clever, sound and strong engineering and the cost savings warmed my Scottish heart. I'm not ignoring the massive effort you put into all other fitment chores you did, over and over again either. You deserve to make that show. Hope all goes well in the coming days. Work safe and try to get enough rest so you don't hurt yourself. Malcolm Ottawa Valley

That engine and trans looks awesome in there! One thing, Dave- I think the rubber trans Mount is only designed for compression. You may need to consider modding the brackets to make it compress. And please don’t think I’m criticizing; I’m a hack and you’re the MAN making this awesome car! Looking forward to the next update!

You are making it look easy Dave! I went the easy route for the 5.7 going in my Charger. The Holley kit for the engine and tranny mounts are beefy products and the mid sump oil pan was a no brainer! You got some old school Mopar muscle with a modern fire breathing Hemi monster inside! Can’t wait to see the finished product!

@rustbucketrestos6511 : Since you are no longer using torsion bars, the torsion support crossmember is not as needed. That said, you certainly want a great cross support. Now, since you have welded in sub-frame connectors, you now have something really solid to weld to for a new undercar cross support. I'd build it to bolt in with bolt tubes through the connectors. I'd also tie in the connectors with the rocker panels. I think the hardest part of doing all of that is your timetable and creating enough room for a nice exhaust. But I have seen your fabricating and welding skills, so no real issue with any of this!! Something I'd really dig into is: Would the tunnel from the Chally fit and also, how much room was there from the tunnel to the tranny on the Chally??? I know you will not have much moving around under the hood since Gerst made sure the mounts would NOT allow much torque motion, but you may still want to pull the engine/tranny out through the top someday.

Wow the trans mount is genius, looks great, the trans is huge and tall, I don`t see stock carpet fitting over that hump when you fabricate one, do you? That was no easy swap, cutting that floor would have scared me to death, it seemed a piece of cake for you. I am anxious to see where you put the computer and all of the wires to run this beast.

For your rear end it's fairly easy to adapt a irs from a mustang. I have a 72 coronet and I put a 2015 mustang rear end into with coil overs. Would be cool to see one done with your fab skills. Have been driving car for over a year now with the setup I like it a lot. Need to do subframe connectors myself to stiffen whole chassis. Message me if you would like some pictures for reference

I may be typing this prematurely but I hope you reinforce the area you flap discisced for the alternator. It may not need it but being that is a pinch weld area I think just a small angle iron strip plug welded is also of added strength for that area with all this new horsepower.
