Much of the opening locker-room footage was used as the Halftime segment of "A Glorious Game" (1972). Also, Coach Bob Hollway's speech, "It's hot out there...but let's blow 'em off the line of scrimmage" was famously used as the open of the "NFL Game of the Week" from 1976-1984.

The Cardinals'1971-72 jerseys (both home and road) were by far their best.

Bob Holloway had come from Bud Grant's Viking staff, and had a few Vikes on the team: Mike McGill at linebacker, Dale Hackbart (49) in the secondary, and in '72, linebacker, Jim Hargrove, and quarterback, Gary Cuazzo. Cards went 4-9-1 in 1971, 1972 and 1973, but they started playing well at the end of the '73 season.

Cuozzo trade for John Gilliam was one of the most one-sided trades in history. Cuozzo lasted only one season while Gilliam was a pro-bowler for each of his 4 seasons in Minnesota. Had the Cardinals kept Gilliam, he would have been paired up at WR with future Viking Bobby Moore (Ahmad Rashad) who was St Louis 1st round pick in 1972
