In 1971 Sunoco started a new advertising campaign where they used real customers from around the Country to tell their story of Sunoco Gasoline usage. Raymond Lord of Hampden Maine with his 1963 Dodge was in this commercial, Raymond past away on 12-10-2012. Raymond lived most of his life in Hampden and was a graduate of the Fire Science Program at Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, Bangor. Raymond was a retired captain from the Hampden Fire Department. Prior to his fire service he worked as a printer at LH Thompson, Brewer. Raymond had many other part-time jobs including airport mall security and was a part-time deputy for Penobscot County Sheriff's Department. Raymond was a lifetime member of Hampden Kiwanis Club and served as lieutenant governor in 1991. He and his wife, Eleanor were foster parents for many years, and was an active member of First Church of the Nazarene, Bangor. Thanks, very enjoyable. Don Shula- at the risk of disclosing my age, I will admit to remembering the promotions that were used to sell gasoline. Those came to a screeching halt during the shortages resulting from the 1973 Arab oil embargo.

Wow that ‘63 Dodge in the snow. My grandmother had the same exact car right down to the color. ❤

Had the complete book filled. Had brackets in the back you could fill out for the playoffs in each Conference and Super Bowl. Of coarse Super Bowl VII was the end of the 17-0 Miami Dolphins with Don Shula coaching.
