1971 Volkswagen VW Bus Westy Tin Top type 2 camper the ULTIMATE restoration

February 2024 this bus is for sale now $75,000. Freshly restored perfect bus camper. A ton of work was put into this bus, look are the underside to appreciate how nice it is.
Engine was upgraded, freeway flyer transmission, it goes 65MPH on the freeway. Bare metal repaint to the highest quality. Nobody restores buses to this level!

I got my 71 westy tin top for $500 bucks. Replaced the blown Brazilian motor with a German and off we went, talk about a deal of a lifetime lol

@@cafepuya $10-30k, I got lucky though, I got into them when they were not really on the radar around 2009-2010. Economy is crashing now 2024, a lot of nice stuff is gonna start coming out for sale so keep your eyes peeled 👍🏼

i broke my vw buggy pan from a dual carb 1835 and the rust pan not strong enough i am about to drop the motor in a 72 tin top bow fast do you think it would go ? would it climb mountains well? i could go 80+ with the buggy or higher

A bus can realistically only go 55mph with some faster bursts of speed. They are less than aerodynamic. With a bus you need torque not horsepower so single carb and large displacement is fine.

Kids cot goes over the driver and passenger seats, cot cars suspended by 4 little brackets screwed onto the A and B pillars
