Back in a vintage where G. M. and the "other two" were on top of their game...Engineering, Style, Performance, Drivability, Comfort, Durability, Options, Ease of maintenance, etc. etc. I owned a '73 225 2-door for more than ten years. What a runner and no stupid recalls either!

Bought a 29K original mile '72 4dr Limited back in '05. Nutmeg brown with cream top and interior. I notice this one has it's original distributor like mine had. It had red over spray paint from the factory. I only had mine a few years but I've owned many '72 Electra's since the 80's. I'm currently bringing another '72 2 door Limited back to it's stock condition. These are just great all around cars and make excellent drivers.

To me 1972 was the best year of the 1971-76 Buick Electra and Oldsmobile 98's, I feel they looked more refined than the 1971's and it was also the last year before the smog pumps and Emission Control devices took place, 1972 was also IMO the last good year before drivability and performance really started taking a dive.

FM radios in cars were not common until the mid-70s, even in relatively high-end models. Hard to believe, right? I used to buy $20 FM converters and hang them under dash or in the glove box until I started subbing out aftermarket units in the 80s. Car companies were always behind the curve.
