@@chasedwar2 when you’re modifying to this extent most would build a custom suspension using corvette c5/c6 subframes, knuckles, rotors etc. Very rarely would they do that much body work and not build an autocross capable car.

Because it’s art. Not plastic injection molding parts with plastic clips holding them together. I do body work and a little mechanical on cars new cars collision work. And man do I despise modern engineering of vehicles it’s complete garbage. The quality of every part is horrible, only Canada 🇨🇦 makes good parts for modern cars. But the difference is minor. They just have better quality control. Because Chinese parts tend to have flaws that you have to fix on the fly or deal with it.

Believe it or not this car has very little custom parts the wheels and the lexan taillights cover the entire Riviera line from the 1950' till 2002 When production ended were as close to a factory custom car as possible. We has a 71 GS 455 but had a friend in hartwell GA who had a 1966 430 two 4 bl with 66 k miles I think was the best one it was burgundy with a black vinyl top black interior bucket seat console car . It was a 2 x4 bl. Car from the factory sold new in Athens GA .

The 455 ci big block in these are no joke. You swap a HOLLEY 750 DP, Intake, hotter cam and some headers and you got an easy 500HP and 500+ ft lbs of torque. Those engines are monsters.

The Pontiac Bonneville was equal to it in beauty, from 1966-1969. Also, the 1955 Pontiac Chieftan Deluxe was a beauty and a screamer. Unfortunately I had had no money to speak of ... being only 13 at the time. I learned to drive in a 1931 Chevrolet Sedan. My Grandfather paid $595.00 for it, new. Still had the fuzzy seat covers. Immaculate. Probably worth more than one of Elon's electric cars now.
