That's a replaced vinyl roof. That was not the grain of vinyl that was used on the 72 Eldorado. I believe it was Tuxedo grain vinyl.

I love this sweet Eldorado doesn't get any better than this! If only I was in the market to buy. Would make one small change I'd swap winged goddess for traditional wreath and crest."Serious Cadillac style"!

Didn't the 72 have vertical rubber strips on the vertical tailight??????? I'm sure it did as the front bumper had rubber bumper slips on the 72 and not on the 71!!! Is this a 71??????? And not a 72

The trim on the drivers side is 1972, but passenger side looks like at 1971 trim.

I've been a '71 -'72 Eldorado buff since they came out when I was 14yo and I know every styling detail of them and you are absolutely correct, '72 trim on the drivers side and '71 trim on the passenger side. Also no rubber strips on the rear bumper, '71 had no rubber strips, '72 had rubber strips and the vinyl top is also not correct - looks like this car has had some "work" done on it!
