That's a replaced vinyl roof. That was not the grain of vinyl that was used on the 72 Eldorado. I believe it was Tuxedo grain vinyl.

Didn't the 72 have vertical rubber strips on the vertical tailight??????? I'm sure it did as the front bumper had rubber bumper slips on the 72 and not on the 71!!! Is this a 71??????? And not a 72

If it was pink it would be a fly pimpmobile. Big whitewalls ,fur on the dash shoot maybe even some curb feelers.

The trim on the drivers side is 1972, but passenger side looks like at 1971 trim.

I've been a '71 -'72 Eldorado buff since they came out when I was 14yo and I know every styling detail of them and you are absolutely correct, '72 trim on the drivers side and '71 trim on the passenger side. Also no rubber strips on the rear bumper, '71 had no rubber strips, '72 had rubber strips and the vinyl top is also not correct - looks like this car has had some "work" done on it!
