After owning my Pantera for about18 years and not driving it more than a few miles per year due to so many issues, I broke down and had my '72 modified and restored to make it a car I could drive anytime I wanted, in any weather, and in comfort, luxury, and without issues or worries. It spent four years in the process, and I now drive mine every weekend and sometimes all week long. It's still a head turner, and with now more than 500hp, it will scoot with its younger brethren. The 53 year old design is still striking and the good thing about getting older (now 70) is that over the past five or six years, I've shrunk about 3-4 inches, so for the first time in 25 years I actually fit in it without smashing my head into the roof. Now if only I could shrink my big feet so that I could actually wear shoes when I drive, that would be somethin'. Anytime you'd like to take it out for a day, just let me know.

Sadly, the wive's tales continue about the Pantera. The only real issue with the car was an improperly designed radiator that was all eventually sorted , mostly QC issues on the early cars, followed by Lincoln Mercury dealers being so poorly trained & no great desire working on a car that was so different from their core product line. The misnomer of the Pantera being problematic, well that finger should be pointed at the owners themselves. As I've owned my 73 for 39 yrs & my 86 GT5-S for 25 yrs I can assure you, a more dependable exotic doesn't exist. BTW the Pantera was built from 1971-1992. Thanks for your video.

Have owned several so can honestly say that that is some fuctup exhaust on otherwise slick ride....why do folks do things like that?
