My dad had the 74 Ford ltd. I remember in the early 80s him replacing the head unit and upgrading to cassette and adding speakers to the doors. Of course even though he was a country music fan he had to buy a mixed cassette with booming sounding music which included planet Rock.. and that 74 LTD was thumping..

Salutoni da Italia 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹😁🍕🍝 spero che tu stia bene e ti auguro tutto il meglio del mondo🤗👋, che Dio ti benedica✝️🙏😁🇮🇹

Good for you. I'm 58, in Canada and grew up with them. I would love a 71 or 72 two-door (LTD or Galaxie 500), but would probably get 'keyed' the first time I parked at Walmart. I have a feeling they are gonna make gas harder to get/use in the coming years as well, so I just dream and watch KZbin :) In '89 I drove a 64 Buick Lesabre as my daily and loved it!

Would you say the '68 ford country sedan wagon i have (full size) is worth keeping as my dd in montana over getting a 70's Jeep wagoneer? I have my reservations either path i choose. But one thing is certain, i will be in montana by november. I hear the right tires and sometimes chains as needed are good enough but im not confident

I worked on that road when it was being straightened out. It used to be called, "The Road of A Thousand Curves", and would take four to five hours to get from Seward to Anchorage. 1979-1981. Still live here, but in the Bush. Get to Anchorage about every four months or so. It's turned into a real third-world shithole.
@tylerhopkins70803 жыл бұрын
what's going on in Anchorage, there a lot of crime now? is that what you mean?
@jeanettewest3 жыл бұрын
@@tylerhopkins7080 Carpetbaggers from kalifornika, gangs, and the women who cannot speak English working in Walmart who walk away from you when you need a question answered. Seriously, it just is not the same nice place to live it used to be. Started changing around 1988 or so when Mayor Fink ordered the police to call gangs "groups of youths" because his head was inserted to deeply into his anus to accept what was happening to the town. Yup, I go in for a week and can't wait to get back to Alaska, which is only 30 minutes away by air.

Daniel - sweet ride. Wire hanging out front of bumper - is that a block heater? Also - out of curiosity - what weight motor oil do you run?
@DanielLoveReel3 жыл бұрын
The wire was a block heater. The oil was whatever the guys at Dean's automotive put in there. They had a good mechanic who would work on old cars.

how did you come to own this car ?
@DanielLoveReel3 жыл бұрын
I was living in Anchorage and this one popped up on craigslist just past Wasilla. My old gold VW bug had catastrophic engine failure a few months earlier and I had an 80s Subaru that wasn't all that interesting but worked for the time being. The guy had the LTD in good running condition (though the body was pretty rough) so I jumped on it. It had some small mechanical issues here and there but never needed too much. I sold it before I left for Germany because it was never going to pass the German inspection without insane amounts of money put into it. We put a lot of miles on it and it was usually a delight to own and drive.
