Cb’s are my favorite motorcycles. From modern cb1000r to old 70s cafe racers. So many cool bikes in between

I had one that I bought new. I traded up from Honda 350 twin. It was a major step up from the 350- no vibration at all compared to the 350 twin. It was the last bike I ever owned. I sold it to a friend who rode for 20 more years.

Had one of these. What a great bike. Those bikes ran like a clock all day long never thought twice about going for a long ride on a nice summer day. If your thinking about it just buy it no regrets with this one.

Funny how 50 years ago almost all bikes came with a centerstand. Even Trail 90's. Now you have to pay 3-400$ for one. When the tachometer redline area is still unfaded, it's in excellent condition. Bob Braverman rode a 500 Four for a 24 hour endurance run in'71 and the little four made it with flying colors. Never missed a beat. I have a '22 Z900RS in blue and it's nice looking, but this green 500 looks amazing. Love early Honda Fours!

I had the very first CB500 in Tucson, Arizona, I think 1970, the same color as this one, $1,000, traded-in a Yamaha 2-stroke, then later added a luggage rack and sidebags, and an aftermarket fairing to keep the bugs off my teeth. My "rice-burner" took me from Tucson and Las Vegas and Spokane to Calgary and Banff, then along the Columbia river in heavy rain (tailgating 6 feet behind trucks) to Portland, then back to Tucson, then on a trailer towed by my 67 Corvette for my move to New Jersey, then to Quebec (ate snails and saw a moose) and Nova Scotia (Bay of Fundy tides), then to Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, then back to New Jersey. (This, over 2 years) Then I grew up and sold the bike! It's been downhill ever since (no, just kidding). It brings actual tears to my eyes to see this one (maybe it's actually my former CB500?).

In 1977, my H.S. senior year I bought a Chocolate Brown 1971 CB 500, I think I paid $650 for it. Put on a 4 into 1 Jardine exhaust, reached a top speed 118 mph on Route 422 shortly before it opened for traffic by the Stouffer's plant. Great bike, handled well, super reliable, ran like a Swiss watch. Would love to buy this bike.

Wow, very nice. Had a 74 in candy chocolate as my 3rd bike, and it didn't look as good as this one does 40 years ago. The owner must have spent more time cleaning and maintaining than riding.

I had one, in which an attempt had been made, turn it into a chopper. I can't believe that was 42 years ago. I was 17, but to me, it was a big bike. But looking at this one now, makes me realize how small it actually was. It must have really grated on this cop, back then, when I beat a stunting ticket in court, he'd given me. I'd accidentally skidded out, during a left hand turn, so he gave me a stunting ticket. He was parked at the opposite stop sign, so after I brought the bike under control, I immediately pulled over, and got off it. I looked back at the cop, whereupon he put his lights on, and pulled up, behind me. I'd actually even gotten my helmet off, before he did anything. I said to the judge, that if I'd been purposely stunting, why would I have pulled over. He paused, then asked me what kind of motorcycle I had. After I told him, he said there was a hole in that case, to drive my motorcycle through, and threw it out. I can still remember the look on that cop's face, ha, ha! I was friends with a few of his fellow cops, but they couldn't stand him. When they heard I'd won, they all patted me on the back and congratulated me.
