I have this same bike! 1972 Sl350. Not as complete as this one but i scored it for free with a rebuilt engine. It was just a bucket of parts the frame had busted engine mounts and gas tank was fouled up and cleaned out. i had it completely stripped to the frame re welded the engine mounts to factory condition, repainted it, ordered a clutch cover, new coils, wires, combination regulator, AGM battery, signals, lights, Frankenstein welded two kickstands together, new tires, list kinda goes on, but its now a complete setup. The engine got ignition points tuned up valve clearances checked out, runs beautifully with the foam filter on the original carbs. The carbs were boiled to release the piston valve and cleaned up. Was a labor of love and totally worth bringing it back to life. Still have it it really is a kick ass piece!

I know for fact SL 350 is an awesome bike, because I had one in 1972. Amazing design ! They look good for always, and the bullet proof engine and the mechanicals are top class. On the road you are a cool cat , and off road can scramble almost anywhere. My life took a sharp turn, and I had to sell and move my country in 1974. I miss my SL 350 so much. I loved it so much that I changed the oil every 500 km. Oh well such is life.

Beautiful bike! Man... That sound sure brings back a lot of memories! My best friend Jason and I used to ride my 1971 SL 350 up and down the river bed here in Tucson almost every night! We probably put 25-30 miles on that bike every night!

I had a red one when I was a teenager. Because of the weight it was not a serious off road bike,but I had a lot of fun with it in the woods. I would love to own another one.

Who would give this channel a thumbs down? This is a guy that puts it all on the line and tells it the way it is. He runs out of money and tells you all about it. I thought I was the only one that runs out of money & comes back like it's normal. He believes in "Go Big or Go Home." Let's not forget about his team. Which is only as good as his worst employee and they all seem GREAT. Good luck team. I hope to buy something from you all one day. God Bless America.

You guys have the coolest bikes. Though the guy with triple Kaws has some awesome pieces also. I hope to get up that way from here in Ohio some day.

In the early 70's these were selling for around $895. I had the CL model. I love the sound of these with the stock pipes. I really wish Honda would bring back a retro version of the SL model.

Bikes looks and sounds great. I forgot that Honda did produce this SL350 with a little more "serious" dirtbike look to it (21-inch front wheel, knobbies, etc.). I rode a CB350 back in those days (and I still have it). Those motors hold up well, produce surprising power and torque. Great bike...

Incredible, sl 350, around 40 hp, as much as the 2 stroke racers..what a diff. 2 cylinders makes..
@justinstearns97232 жыл бұрын
They’re closer to 30hp than 40. Same engine as a CL or CB 350 but set up a bit different for more low end torque. They are super smooth though. My dad had a beat to hell one for years, rode on the back of it a few times as a little kid. It’s long gone now but I’d love to get my hands on one.

I believe the cylinders can have new sleeves put in so I hope the old cylinder block was saved. See "L.A. Sleeve Co." as one example of people who can do that sort of work. It seems the auction is over - may I inquire as to what it sold for?

Yep I remember that name, they were quite popular. Many OEM fenders were steel, I know Kawasaki used steel. Way too heavy, I despised them.
