1972 MGB | Ride Along

Hagerty UK employee Charlie Patterson's 1972 MGB was in quite a dilapidated state when he discovered it in a barn, covered in straw. He eventually acquired it and turned it into a family project, restoring it with his father.

Had the same care; same year; same color. Was great. Traveled up and down the east coast in it for years. Loved it. Now have a 63 two owner. Love MGB.

My second car while at 17 years old attending high school. I hit a curb a damaged the frame that ended my fun.

My first car was a 72. Mgb roadster OLP572L in bronze yellow bought in 1985 for £1500 and sold in 1987 for £2000..have fond memories of owning it when my friends were driving XR3s

Please contact either the MG Car Club of England or your local MG Register to learn how to properly fold the top before you ruin it!

Robert Gloyd is correct. You can see from the top down poition that it was not properly folded. As viewed here it will pinch holes in the side of the top and ruin the plastic windows. Not rude, just experience (I've owned a used sports car dealership for 50 years and owned hundreds of British roadsters.)

Consider it a form of patina and it lends charm to the car. just like laugh line on a face .LOL
