Beautiful. I just finally got my 72 running again after a 22 year hiatus. Most of the work left on her now is the interior. Good luck on mounting your buckets, we discovered upon mounting buckets in mine to the floor pan, passenger side is almost a full bubble higher than the drivers side

For me, both buckets are too high. I have to figure out how I can cut down the brackets by about an inch or more on both sides. It's going to be a challenge. The original bench didn't have a ton of head clearance either, but I want these buckets to be just low enough where I dont hit my head on the upper door frame getting in.

@@stevesgarage7644 I picked up low back buckets from either a chevelle or so Camino, can't remember which. Mounted right to the floor pan at 5'9" head clearance is tight but manageable, buckets stick up a couple inches above the door line

@@SkyTitanMedia I haven't started on the interior yet. I'm going to reuse my original door panels. I couldn't find them. I found the carpet on Amazon. It says ”4 door"

Hey Steve! Did you replace your window vent assemblies? I’ve replaced practically everything on my car and went to replace the vent assemblies and they are like $350 and up! That’s crazy. I’m finding it crazy to spend $700 or more on two such a non essential parts. Any help would be great. Thanks?

No those are still the originals. I covered one with vinyl and I think I'll just spray paint the right side since I can't figure out how to remove it.

Hey how good did this work in terms of keeping the heat out and noise?
@stevesgarage7644

I'm very happy with the results. After I roll up the windows it gets pretty quiet, like a new car, until you step on the gas quite a bit, obviously. The tinny sound from the back seat area is gone where it had no sound proofing there at all before. Plus doing the doors helped a lot too, where it too had no sound proofing. For the heat, I feel no heat at all in the floors from the exhaust, if that's what you meant.

Hey Buddy, got a question. I'm ordering my rear Wilwood Brake set and wanted to know if you ordered the same kit as I'm looking at. On the Summit website, the order number is AFXRDM21Z. My car has stock shock placement, so mine aren't staggered. Did you go with this kit also? Thanks!

No I went with The Right Stuff on the rears and Wilwood on the front. And just so you know, stock shock placement on my Nova is staggered. They were not modified. I'm not sure but there is a year where they are not staggered. So just make sure you get the right kit for the right year. Good luck!

@@stevesgarage7644 cool man thanks! Mine is a 71 and they are not staggered, not sure why. I hear the staggered is better for traction. I’ve watched your videos a lot doing my car. In the process now of finding a dash pad that will fit half way right.

@@slickrickjones You might check classicindustries.com for the dash pad. They have pretty much everything for our cars. Glad my videos helped and good luck on your build!
