I love these old broadcasts. They are very peaceful to listen to.

Yes, Nancy Boy free. I also like the naturalness of the links. That no longer applies.

trevino said of jack's one iron shot at the 17th "jack wasn't an ordinary guy-he was the best ever"

2:23:00 Jacks famous 1 Iron at the 218 yard 17th. Just an incredible shot!

Nice to see Trevino walk over to Jack and they both share a laugh. You'd never see that today in the final round of a major.

The one iron shot into the 17th is one of the greatest shots you’ll ever see

I know this will probably upset some Tiger fans…..but the 1 iron Jack hit on 17 is the most historic shot in US OPEN HISTORY……again 220 yards into a hard heavy damp wind, with early 1970’s clubs and golf balls that spun off the charts….that shot was absolutely historic

They use toshow a lot of golf back then! Feels like it's all practice swings and putts on todays coverage.

What’s the story with the people under the tree on 18? 2:30:09 Some sort of protest I guess. I vaguely remember something about it years ago and I’ve searched for it but can’t find anything.

Why put the spoiler in the title?
@peterteacher3681 Жыл бұрын
It would be great if you took the spoilers out of the titles. People watch these for drama….they don’t come to your tube for results to be spoiled. Ty. More will watch if you do.

7:13 Gotdamn, Jack took forever over the ball, lol. He only got away with it because he won so much. Otherwise.

Two observations: Jim McCay talked way too much and didn’t extract meaningful conversation from the pros. The changes in Pebble over time is significant.

It would be better if we didn't know who won ahead of time. What's the use of watching otherwise.

looking at the small crowds and quality of cameras back in the day I'd say Jack Nicklaus did not face as much pressure as Tiger Woods to achieve his major record. There's a difference between the whole world watching you in close up vs 'some people' seeing you from far away on a small grainy tv set.
