Good job shooting and editing this video ,done right. I'm finishing my two Z cars here at the ending months of 2021. Yes 2. You will be so surprised. When I made my mind up to get one. I never saw one in the nine yrs I lived in this town. NONE , not 1!!! Every single day I looked in yards, in fields in open garages going thru neighbor hoods. Every day ,I looked, like I was in need! One day by chance, seeing thru a fenced in area I drove past EVERYDAY, one appeared out of thin air. I drove up to the guys place and asked if the Datsun I saw thru the fence was for sale He said yes but nobody wanted it cause it had lots of rust. It was complete whole and rusty no floors left. Old cracked air dam hanging on the front held up with a piece of wire. Had not run in ten years. Home made round tail lights fiberglassed in the back and the entire car was ROLLER PAINTED, with house latex paint! To preserve it " I can only think it's why the owner did it as he painted very thing Everything rubber, Chrome's glass, EVERYTHING. I I bought it 1,500$. I took it home and stripped it down to a shell Get this! While I was working on it 2 weeks later, a man drove up said I see you working on this Datsun Z! "You should buy mine!" I said let's go look at it, the guy was two miles away!!! Remember I have not seen 1 in 9 yrs and now with in 2 weeks I found 2. His was for 30 yrs a street racer car with a 383v8 in it with an automatic. But now it had no running gear but it had three pedals being an original Standard Shift car. I paid 500$ dollars for this rusty Z, it needing floor boards and all the rust repairs the other Z needed So here we are 6 yrs later, I'm almost finished with one, As I rebuilt them both at the same exact time. I'm finishing one to daily And the other to sell to recoup my costs of my car. Today the prices are 30,000$ dollars more for a restored car. So I'm very happy I invested every night and free day and every week end to building two cars at once. Pay check to pay check. A very long struggle. I'm finishing the details on my daily retro back dated 280Z with carbs, 240Z tail lights,G nose .. Then I'll pick up on my 240 Z ,semi modded L28,pretty much stock 240, to keep value high. For resale. And finish it for sale! Then my plan? Look for two more rusty Z cars nobody wants to put the time into having fresh metal, into a rusty Z !

Pure liquid zinc oxide then covered it with a truck bed liner underneath keep it from rusting out again after three layers of, rust resistant zinc primer, paint and clearcoat. Then outside skin got 2 coats primer, 3 coats color and 7 coats clear, wet sanding between each then polished to death. Love it. I've only put 10 miles on it since the rebuild. That's a shame really, it's a period correct color that looks really good. It's not my car, but if it was, I would keep it burnt orange as a base coat but three-stage it (with a light pearl?) under the clear. It would still keep that burnt orange originality, but have the deep luster of a modern custom paint job. I look forward to seeing more of this car in the year to come. Maybe a build update at some point?
