My father passed away recently and left his 450cc 1974 Desmo Ducati to my brother and I. He bought it brand new in 1974 - the very last Ducati single Mick Walker imported to the UK, and it's been left in our garage for over forty years. Amazingly, he hardly ever rode the bike and it hasn't been ridden since 1980 - I am fairly sure it has only run about 600 miles. It will need restoring but we are unsure whether to sell it as it is or restore it first. If you're looking for a 450cc Desmo Ducati let me know. Oh, I almost forgot...when it arrived with Mick Walker it was fitted with a full fairing - factory fitted. It's the only one I have ever seen with a factory fitted full fairing. Indeed, Micmk Walker though it was a 750cc twin until he looked inside the wooden crate. Kind regards...Martin

I'd be interested to learn more about your father's 450 Desmo. Could you send some pictures to info@backtoclassics.nl ?

Glorious.. SO good !! LOVE THIS CHANEL SO MUCH !! .. then about the L/Right shift/brake foot controls.. It's like no one talks about them.. Like that's OK (?) .. Like jeepers bikes in my stable - with, yes different shift/brake patterns/sides.. .. then to just build a bike up like this sans cross shafts/etc. - so the bike could be ridden by younger generation blokes (?)

OOPS! You forgot to put the green/yellow 'Marzocchi' sticker on just above the axle on the left fork slider. I see the front mudguard is on correctly now. Good work! I wish there'd have been some engine rebuild vids! I've seen pics with an engine size decal on either side of the seat tail, but none of the Canadian imports that I saw back in the day had them. What about Europe?
