My first new truck when I got home from Nam was a 71 highboy ford 4x4 and I drove the wheels off it for sixteen years, many engines and transmissions later I was at work and my wife sold it on me. I was heartbroken and she didn't even apologize so we divorced a bit later... she was a cheater. I drove truck for a living. I have owned near every year back when but the first one meant more than gas an oil. It was my daily and most fun truck ever. I don't expect you to be making real fancy videos right out the gate. I don't know when or how long you been at it but head cams are the worst for one of us to watch. Tripods or some kind of set up would be right nice.... a pawn shop camera till your set for cameras. Your audio is just fine. I can imagine how happy to hear run and move for you. That van is going to be some kind of fun I am thinking but the truck is where my heart is on this. Chevrolet let me down as I financed a rig and then they took it back and so ten years went by before I won my case. I had made all my payments and all and when they took my truck I lost my job and lost a lot of other things cause of it so I don't buy chevys even though they are okay as trucks go and I have had a couple that I restored for different reasons. My 95 quad cab five speed, diesel dually with every option in the world had just over a million miles on it when I had to sell it cause I am crippled up now and live in a wheelchair. It would fire any time you hit the key and of course I put three engines in it and two transmissions as they had the miles on them to deserve that. I like the smaller wheels like your 18's you have. That truck is going to clean up nice

Clean the rear tank they are easy to drop and clean or replace ....nice truck factory AC rig definitely a keeper and that old 360 sounds good ...if keeps smoking it'll need valve stem seals not a hard job

Love them old ford's, got me a 78 bronco. She's a little rough (Michigan truck) like what I'm seeing from the channel! I picked up a 1976 F 250 granny 4 spd 390FE 4bbl same issue my brakes work intermittently i have a clogged front passenger side brake line which cant be blead , these old trucks are not easy fined and those who have them wont part with them, i got real lucky with mine, i have 3 videos on it on my channel...great video man.

Transmission uses type F fluid don’t use anything else , one more thing don’t do a trans flush you’ll destroy it . If you want later on change the filter but please use only Type F . Wheels are awesome Enjoy

Yeppers, that Factory A/C and the motor should be a 390 FE! Coyote Swap?? No friggin Way Bro, with that 390 swap out intake and carb for 4 barrel and Pertronix Igniter electronic ignition... that motor will come to life!

Also Tires use high grade type plus Load Range D if haul in box or tow trailer too! Fuel mileage get on that truck be 15 to 10 miles per Gallon! AC is Factory options get but upgraded pump plus lines with R12 A or R13 A type better stuff plus easy find also get refill to and last longer too ! Old stuff hard find and get replaced fluid and repair at shops don't use to much anymore!

That is a dealer installed ac or if you look at the vin it will say if it was a factory upgrade this ford is a sweet old Ford definitely keep it original with the disk brake upgrade this is a rare gem new to the channel keep her original cliff dig the wheels and tires your going to love these old ford's what are you thinking on the paint I like the original color sweet truck bro

That's a goin to town rig right there!! Man, you can buff and wet-sand that paint, which with make it look factory (or better). Keep it original; I don't know the real numbers, but Ford has been making trucks for over a hundred years. More advice from a random internet stranger, DON'T RESTORE IT.

Also on that Transmission get a black bottle of Brand Gunk Red Seal called Trans-Medic add in transmission whole bottle run thru whole as long can plus when do fluid plus filter plus gasket changes too! Also that Key ignition switch replacement it but take off also check auto parts store if get new one and replace to rewired it new connectors also if can plus installation in dash too ! Do new engine belts plus water pump also !Alternator to even starter drive plus Solilendo plus batteries cables too ! Also in rad when cold add 200 ml of 80w90 differential fluid in rad fluid let go thru engine too also put new rad fluid in 60% antifreeze with 40 % water to also new thermostat too ! Also change fuel tanks plus send units to plus lines with filters when get fix add a Grey Bottle of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner in fuel tank too every month plus with 89 or 91 Octane gas all time of Shell brand of excellent fuel company you deal with but not Petro brand ! Also engine use Pennzoil yellow bottles or jug Castrol GTX white bottles or 5 litre jug of 10w30 no synthetic engine type okay and 2X Fram Oil filter no synthetic type too also Air Filter 2X Fram , PCV Valve Fram and Fuel Filter on Carb Fram too !

Yeah brother when I said restore I just meant you know give her a fresh paint job maybe a new headliner new seats in a new mat but I’ll be honest with you it’s just my personal opinion but I actually prefer a long bed over a short bed utility wise they’re just a better truck short beds are really only good for looks now the ones today actually ride better than in my day used to be they weren’t worth having because they rode like a mule and wagon
