Great video. The 3 core aluminum cnc radiator upgrade with dual electric fans I bought for my 1994 S-10 pickup 4.3L with 4wd and 3 inch lift kit. The sensor for the relay kit came with the hole for sensor already in radiator so I did not have to cut in a fitting to the hose. I went thru the first summer ever with working A/C and no more overheating after getting rid of my belt driven stock metal fan and fan clutch also reducing drag on engine and increasing horsepower and fuel economy. Either way this upgrade for Chevy S-10's/Blazer/Jimmy's is highly recommended.

Did you run a ground wire to the aluminum block in the radiator hose that holds the temperature switch? Usually those won't work unless you ground it to complete the circuit.

When disconnecting everything before taking the dash out, is there any thing that triggers the anti theft system? Where it will have to be reset or make the truck not able to start ?
@cliffsbackyardgarage834
@cliffsbackyardgarage834 4 ай бұрын
No everything for your anti-theft system is located in your steering column you do not have to disconnect any of that. If you're having anti-theft issues it is most likely the resistor to your ignition key switch.

Great video. I have a 03 S10 4.3 and I installed an aluminum radiator with electric fans summers ago from Cooling Engineering Products. I removed my oil cooler lines from the truck as they are subject to leaking anyway. But I'm in the process of going back to a factory radiator and going the intrepid or concord fans route. I think a core in the radiator is leaking because I have excessive build up on the sides and I have to keep filling it up. Yea you definitely needs a relay per fan.

I bought a 99 Baby Blazer and 00 S10 for under $1000. S-10 had blown up engine, Blazer hit a deer on front, fender and door. Gutted both interiors, used purple stuff first and then fabuloso to clean the carpet with a pressure washer. then used wet-n-dry vaccuum.There was a TON of imbeded dirt in that carpet. Allowed it to dry several days, and used same kind fabric & vinyl dye. Put several light coats and brush in different directions between coats. Took seat covers off and machine washed them. Interiors looked and smelled almost like new. Got a NEWLY remanufactured engine from S10 in self-pull salvage yard; truck had been in shop fire based on paint damage, but engine harnesses were not installed; probably insurance write-off. Brand new engine for $350! Got Baby Blazer panels same yard in correct color. Sold S-10 for $3000. Only low ballers offered on Baby Blazer. Kept it for daily driver.

How did you secure the very bottom of the rollpan? The factory GM rollpan has "wings" on either side that tick inside the bed corners where the flaps w/pre drilled holes are on the stock bed corners. I thought I could see light straight thru the gap to the driveway. But that thing would dance in the wind even welded along the top with a GM /but ESPECIALLY a Chinese rollpan...ask me how I know 😆 🤣. Anyways looks good man. So much for "keeping ut a stock daily" like the radiator install, or flip I think ypu said way back when. 🤔 anyways, looks good

Agreed, purchasing tools to address the removal of the water pump, basically a one-off, are a waste of money. That's why when I replaced my water pump on my 2002 S-10, I went to my local NAPA store and took advantage of their tool loaner program. I borrowed a Fan Clutch Wrench Set, Fan Clutch Holder, and while I was at it, I had them throw in the Serpentine Accessory Fan Belt Remove and Install Tool.

Is that a 3 or 4 row fan? The operating Temp should be 195°. I may just go with that, if it helps. Mine runs so damn smooth with 300k on her but i just freak when that temp gets up around 210°. They are made to run hot. I did put a 180° thermostat in it but she threw a Temp Below Threshold Code on me.

Looks like your in a hot area. I got the 02' Blazer ZR2 here South of Houston. It's always ran at 195° or less than 210°. (In the past) I can see the temp when the thermostat opens by looking at my gauge, so I know my gauge is good. I put a temp sensor on last year. I just flushed, installed new green coolant & a Severe Duty Clutch Fan. Which isn't very loud at all, like many have stated in the reviews. My issue is when towing a small but heavy utility trailer. When outside temps are above 90° it'll get up to & pass 210° & that's hot for me. It doesn't seem like that new Clutch Fan is helping. It's working but not helping unless outside temps are below 90, like 80° then it stays around 195°. My pump is working fine, I can see water flowing through w/ the radiator cap removed. Maybe I'm just paranoid over it & it's working fine. I just never noticed this in the past & I always keep an eye on my gauges. If I do convert to electric fans. I've heard you need a 240amp Alternator. I'm not sure for a cheap set of fans but I have read that you need a relay for each fan.
