1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV, these land yachts don't always come around but when they do all original is the best way to have them! The same family has owned this Lincoln since it rolled off the lot in New Jersey in 1973 and has been in Pennsylvania it's whole life. It has only 10,990 Actual Miles, and has won a National First Prize Award. Always has been kept in a garage out of any type of weather. Unfortunately, the first owner recently became ill and could no longer cherish it the way he knew it should be, so he gave it to his daughter. The entire drive-train is original to the car. This beauty has the original 460 V8 sitting in that engine bay connected to the C6 automatic transmission. Even the slick paint on this body is all original from 45 years ago. Ever thing under the hood is 1973 original including the carburetor.

We use to have one. It turns exactly like a clipper ship. Cruise down rode at 35 mph and spin that steering wheel counter clockwise with one finger. Like a 3 mast schooner, a couple minutes after turning the wheel, the first indication you feel that the car is now preparing to execute the turn is not unlike someone letting the air out of the right side tires. As the car sinks to starboard you'll see a Lincoln emblem roughly 29 feet in front of you slowly begin to veer to the left. For further examples see the movie Titanic.

I had one of these for my first car. Bought it off my grandfather. He was the original owner and he only drove it to church on Sunday morning, and that was all of two miles from their house.

The Mark IV was beautiful but the first year (1972) was the cleanest design. The 5 mph bumpers unfortunately did take a bit away from the looks when they were mandated in 1973
