I had one. Black with red stripes. Mine also had A/C . Was a good car. Drove it for over ten years with no problems.

How fast do these things go when your pushing it

@notaprettyboah3739 When you pass 120 you have the odometer between 120 and zero. When I got back to zero I lifted. I was guessing around 140 to 150. But I still had a little left.

I agree with the 340/350 point. I am a all brands matter person. It is odd why G.M. chose to build the lesser version of the 350 combo. The better 350 was using the 400 block with a 327 crank. Build both 350's and the 400 based 350 works better. Bigger cylinders to unshroud valves with room to grow a bit better as well and the shorter stroke makes a better combo. Reason why the 327 was known as the screaming high winder type engine for strip duty in the day but with a smaller cylinder bore size. Never found a reason why but it is a good question. Also if i remember right the early 350's had teething issues but G.M. fixed them fast and that is what we find today all around us as a 350 C.I.

That's actually the de-tuned version of the 340.. I believe the 340 after 1971 was only 240hp vs 275hp, which in all reality pumped out closer to 290hp

LOL "we have a nice painted engine block" Dude, its the original paint from 1973 peeling and flaking LOL. Bubble hood is reminiscent of the new mopars. Thank goodness the old mopars copied the new ones!
