Those boots for the handbrake lever are standard parts from Girling or Lockheed from GB. Also used on various british cars, so easily available.

And for the brake shoes: after you removed the small spring with cup and pin, you can just pull on both shoes to the outside against those springs that pull them together. No need to remove the brake cylinder for that. Same for the installation. Just needs a bit of elbow grease... ;-)

I'm glad you are actually starting the restoration part of you project, but your decision to use random cans of spray paint seems janky to me. Sorry, I'm a SAAB guy and I like to see old SAABs restored to original or better-than-new condition.

You’re not wrong. It’s not my best work. Somewhere In the past few years I got over my perfectionism, but now it seems to swing the other way more often.

Same vibes here, but at the end it is your funky little sportscar, with the color choises that suits you. And based on the weather outside, it is not going to rust too fast... Most likely you will do this car back to original when you are 50+. Up until that, enjoy the colors😂

I'm really glad I have a second rear axle now. I can have my ugly goofy one and finish one axle in a legit restoration later. I'm also really excited to have two because I want to modify one for more toe in for autocross. It's only three bolts so they might as well be hot swappable.

It's your project so it only has to meet your standards of perfection. I hope it turns out the way you envision it.
