These cars seem almost hand built. I don't think I would have swapped the doors.

Wow I never knew that there was so much work in aligning those panels. I wonder if there is too much curve in that front fender. How does it compare to the one on the other side and to the customers cars? I fitted new outer sills (rockers) to my TR6. The end caps were always rusted on my TR6's in the UK but they were available from the Triumph dealers of the time.

I made a template that matches the curve of the fender and checked the other fender and the old hood with it. They match perfectly. I haven't tried with the customer's car, but I am sure it will match too. I will show all that when I start working on the hood, I think I have an idea how to bring the curve back.

I am happy my videos help for other restorations. I am learning from other guys in KZbin too. It is great we can all share our skills and learn from each other. Good luck with your TR6

It might be easier to cut off the sills (rockers) and start again.

That's exactly what I did today :)

Nice job. I wouldn't have the patience to do a good alignment like you, ha!

Yeah, you need patience with these babies. I said that before, but I will say it again: hard things need time to get done right, impossible things need just a little bit longer.

Are you a trained Body man Elin ?
@RustyBeauties6 жыл бұрын
Nope! Not a body man at all. Whatever I do in my videos I learned on my own and not everything is right, I know :)

Wow, because I was impressed. You're certainly willing to learn new skills. I love watching your videos by the way. I found them as I always liked the GT6 ; and am considering what car for my wife and I to restore in the (near?) future. My Dad was a 2000 then 2.5TC Man; had 6 of them in all when they were new. I did my first 100mph in a TR6 :)
