Jimmy Rimmer and Brian Kidd were both at Wembley for the European Cup final in '68. Rimmer was the GK for Villa 14 years later when they got to the European cup final (though injured early on and replaced by a young Nigel Spink, who played a blinder). That made Rimmer only the second player to win 2 EC Winners medals with different clubs (Saul Malatrasi being the first with both Inter and AC Milan).

I was there at the Clock End, I was 19 years old and had been a Gooner for 6 years. Highbury was a fantastic stadium a real piece of art, I'm so glad the structure was kept as part of the new construction.

Two of the highest pitched voices you could have chosen as pundits Ball & Hughes …a bit of WD40 needed possibly

Liam Brady, what a fantastic playmaker for the Gunners. Brady had made for Arsenal 225 appearances, and he scored in a total of 43 goals. FA cup and FOTY winner 78-79 Brady played for the Gunners 73-80. Brady is an Irish man who has 76 caps for his country.

Liam Brady, just a kid, head and shoulders above the other 21 players. Even in the mud bath.

I'm 54 years old. All I have to say is 'that theme tune, man'. Me and my older brother would be straight out in the garden afterwards. He's 60 next month (happy birthday, Terry). Where did the time go?

When a presenter only needed a table & a chair & the odd guest, unlike now with a large studio costing a fortune in electricity & harming the planet.

Great to see Liverpool get stuffed and then back home to watch episode 2 of The Ark In Space. I'd call that a good Saturday.

Good job there was plenty of sand in those days, the Arsenal pitch looks in a terrible state, but not as Derby's notorious Baseball Ground.

That was normal come the winter & football played over the autumn & winter months & we thought nothing of it, you got great skill & drama a plenty, now it's more like a video game & it could be any month. In the 1990s pitches improved a lot but still grassy turf with a bit of wear & tear unlike now, it's just a sterile playing surface & too easy to kick that ball around, I know which I prefer.
