It's amazing that you can buy new body panels for such an old car. Looking at the amount of metal removed, there is almost no original metal left. It will be practically a new car in terms of bodywork. Cool work and filming, it's not easy to film something like this either, great job! Is it possible to register such a car after restoration?
@rowlandrestorations
@rowlandrestorations Күн бұрын
Thank you!! Ya it is really nice to have the new panels. Without them, I don't think this car would ever be saved which would be a shame. And it is definitely possible to register. There's different processes in each state but even without paperwork you can usually get it inspected and certified by the state's highway patrol or dmv employees. In my case, I have the original vin intact and the title so it won't be any issue.

well, its not the worst i've seen...although usually its a high dollar car like a big block Cuda or Boss 302. this one is cool tho in that it's got 3 pedals...not too many of those in 74...hopefully it came with a VIN and fender tag. this would be a fun project if one has the time, space, money, and tools...looks like you got most of all that! will enjoy watching this come together.
@rowlandrestorations
@rowlandrestorations Ай бұрын
It was kind of unique. It was originally a 340 4 speed but had 4 wheel drum. No fender tag but have the vin and title. I paid $6k for it plus a trailer and rotisserie.... probably overpaid at this point but I never started restoring these cuz it made sense monetarily lol. I appreciate the support!!
@razvancalin6453
@razvancalin6453 Ай бұрын
@@rowlandrestorations If it's a 1974, shouldn't it have been a 360? The 340 was discontinued at the end of '73, I think. If this was a 360, you have the rare final-year 'Cuda (well, what's left of it). What do you plant to put in it (engine, transmission, rear, I mean)?
@rowlandrestorations

Ooh I think you're right. I just did a quick search on the VIN when I bought the car so I went off of that. No fender tag to find out more. 6.4 hemi, TR6060 6 speed, Coilver conversion and a custom rear independent suspension
