UPDATE: The bike sold within 24 hours of posting! It was a pleasure to get to experience this amazing bike, I'm sure it will bring the new owner years of enjoyment.

Any reason why DB Cycles is using this clip for their ebay ad?
@craigsmith2964 жыл бұрын
no reason at all.DB put the bike back together for Sonny Angel estate,then went on to buy the bike and try and resell itafter he failed to sell it he started to strip it and sell it for parts.DB has no respect for this bike,Sonny Angel or his family.I rescued/bought the bike and it is now safe after being completely rebuilt,again.

@@craigsmith296 Well done Mate ! I wish I'd kept my 750 GT, it was a cracker, some people just dont have a clue . Great that it's come down to this part of the World where people Genuinly love their classics

That Ducati is not a just a mere motorcycle, it is an actual living work of art

and I would include the sound that engine makes in my previous statement as another form of automotive art

Beautiful bike. Too bad about music drowning out the sound of the bike 😢 I wish you many years of enjoyment with this motorcycle.

This beautiful Sport now lives with me in Australia.Bizarely after Mark sold the bike (back to the guy that finished the resto for him) the new owner started to strip it and sell it off in parts on ebay,fortunately I found out just in time,bought it and shipped it down under.It's back together,looking and riding beautifully.

In my opinion the 750 Sport is the most desirable model to ever come out of the Ducati factory.

A truly beautiful machine, I have been lucky enough to own a 79 900SS and still own the yellow 250,450 Desmo singles but the roundcase twin in the same style and colour is flawless. Thank You.

Great video. What really stood out to me is the incredible sound quality. It's very clear that you've taken a lot of time to ensure the sound was absolutely perfect. Many videos don't capture the soul of the motorcycle when recording its exhaust note... this is not one of those videos. Kudos.
@FlyingGoatMedia7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your kind words. From the moment I heard this bike start up it was clear that the bike's own sound track needed to be a key element. So much of the experience and the character of the bike is tied to it's incredible sound!

Can't even begin to thank you for putting this video together, Chip. Tears the first time I watched it. Last five years has been a labor of love, taking care of Sonny's legacy. Knowing what this bike looked like three years ago when I pulled her out of the basement...and what she looks like now...I'm humbled beyond words. Wish I could keep her, but alas she needs to head off to a new home. Cheers, and thank you.

I Am a keen surfer and one day after a great surf I Was Back at my car getting changed when a 750SS came bellowing down the road, a nice set of twisties and he was giving it to it, to add to it he had a pillion, a young lady whose skirt was up her back hanging on for dear life as the rider cranked it over for the next corner. Just love the sound of a 270 degree crank . The sound of it was unreal, it was 1974 .

Skirt...inappropriate gear for a run through the twisties.

Nah. Nice handling, sporty street bike. Fairly fast but nowhere near a race bike. I bought one new in 1974, kept it 15 years. They had problems like really crappy electrics. A lot of you will say "so what?" Well, when you're 300 miles from home with NO lights and an alternator that will barely keep the battery charged, that's "so what"". I fought electrical problems until we just re wired the whole thing and threw about half of their crap away. Went all the way back to the alternator. Otherwise, a gorgeous machine and a wonderful engine. Well, except for going through 2 sets of valve guides in the first 2000 miles. Some fun. I made a lot selling it and never really regretted it until they started bring 50 thousand plus.

Roundcase verses squarecase are vastly different internally. The squarecase is the cheep way to make the engine , straight cut drive gears as opposed to bevel.

Its called a bevel drive because all the cam gear is driven from the crankshaft, not just the heads.
