90's kid here, my dad has 2 of these cl450s, I have fond memories riding on the back with him, mostly surface streets and short highway rides. The sound is embedded in my memory. He has a red one and bought a blue parts bike but the parts bike and the red one ended up being restored. These are super rare I've never seen one on the road other than my dads bikes.

Beautiful classic Honda Ken. That scrambler 450 is snappy and pretty fast for its size.

That bike was the first BIKE I ever rode on at 6 or 7 I sat on the tank in front of my dad holding onto middle bar. Grew up loving honda motorcycles.

When I was young I’d wait for my big brother to give me a ride on his 72 cl 350.. I rode it when I was 18 he still owns it.. pretty cool to see.

When I was a teen a friend and I used to ride on a old dirt road not used for traffic anymore. I would ride the CL450 and sometimes for fun the Trail 70. He would ride the CL450 or the Yamaha Virago 750.

Very nice brother. When I was 14 years old my uncle had a Honda 305 scrambler sitting in his garage. Was going to scrap it I said could I have it he said if you can get it running you can take it. So I did that bike was awesome.

Had this exact bike back in the day. Crashed it racing a Suzuki RE5. Rode it jacked up for the rest of the summer as it was my only transportation. Bulletproof bike.

One of the guys at work is building a chopper and is putting one of those engines in it, like you said they ride them into the ground so the rest of the bike is too far gone but the engine is in really good shape.

I love the CL-450 DOHC and CV Carbs. A guy where l live had one with an extended front end and 2 straight pipes up the side it was loud he would ring it out. I could hear him all the way to his house 2 miles away. My oldest brother had the CB 450 burgundy color with disc brake on front. I think it was the first year they put a disc brake on the front.

Just seeing if you had that particular bike in that candy apple red you’d really have some thing. I remember going down to a couple of Honda stores back in that day and look at those bikes and they were just amazing. I wound up with a 1972 Yamaha 175 Enduro.

I had the exact same bike- same color- todo 1977 when I transferred to SJSU San Jose Cal.! I was 22- new to the Cal. and wanted to 'catch-up' quickly to- the blonde & blue eyed Honey's- I soon found myself cruising over Woodside Ave. just West of Stamdford U. heading down the Pacific HWY 1- the beaches and into Santa Cruz- v. nice ride!

I see a good looking Kawasaki 100 in the background over there. The first bike I started on was a 1971 Kawasaki G3 SS 90. Brand knew that bike was $236. Dollars. Let us know if you ever get a Yamaha, I think it was a 305 or maybe it was a 350 big bear scrambler. I remember living in Atlanta back in the 60s and going up to the local Yamaha shop and looking at them of course back then I was in the fifth grade.

Had a 70 CL450, I loved that bike. Rode with guys with 750's, pretty much stayed with them. Typical Honda reliability.

that looks like new , i had a 1968 CL450 i paid $125. for back in 1978 ? or so , the kick starter gear was messed up so i push started it dummy me should have had it fixed or got a new electric start motor but sold it instead 😐 i wish Honda would re - produce different models from back in the day i think they would sell big time.

Is it worth buying one if the owner says the engine has been rebuilt, asking 3200, for a decent looking bike. Thoughts?

I have 2-72CB 450'S & A SPORTSTER, A SET OF HOOKER HEADERS ON THE HONDA IS LIKE A DAY & NIGHT CHANGE. I KNOW WHY THEY USED TO HANG THE CB450 FROM A CHAIN ON A TREE AT HARLEY MEETS & BEAT EM WITH A BASEBALL BAT. THE CB450 WITH THE RIGHT PIPES IS A FAST BIKE.
