My gosh this car is amazing. American cars of the late 60’s, the 70’s and early 80’s were in many cases beautifully designed classics like this one. I was in high school when this body style came out. The mother of a good friend of mine bought one in that Tiffany blue with white interior and padded landau roof. So beautiful and so huge. Love the land yachts of yesterday.

My mom had a new '74 Town Coupe` in triple Silver. Her best friend had a '74 Mark in the same blue/white as your friends. Her next new car was a Caddy Fleetwood 60 Special in 1976.

@ Cadillac Fleetwood’s from ‘71 to ‘76 were amazing. My personal favorites were the ‘73 and especially the ‘76. Talk about land yachts. How cool it would be if you had that Fleetwood today.

Stunning green colour. Also a pre-cat car, yet so surprisingly quiet too.

I would pay FULL MSRP to own this car. Even though it only gets 6 mpg. 9/23 I'm seeing fuel up to $4.25 per gallon today where I live.

Is this Lincoln about the same size as crew cab trucks?
@midwest90402 жыл бұрын
Mark IV was 228.1 inches long a Ford F150 Crew Cab (2022) is 231.7 inches long. So both gigantic with the F150 a little bit longer.

Beautiful car but ugly hubcaps, the Lincoln turbine rims would look much nicer on this ride.👍🍻
@midwest90402 жыл бұрын
I think you might be refering to the available "Luxury Wheel Covers". According to the 1974 brochure: They were described as Bright Radials, Painted Center Color-Keyed to the vinyl roof cover. They were only available on the Lincoln Continental only though (which doesn't make sense- go figure!)

Not ugly...just not chrome or turbine.

That was the normal standard wheel cover they did not have the turbine wheels at that time

That green car cost some green money for sure. Sat in some really fine home nice heated air condition garage for a decades. I'd like to know what other car they drove to not drive this one. Or some old woman whose children always drove her where she needed to go so it stayed in the heated air conditioned garage.
