This was my dads car, back in the early 80’s we loved it she went like a bomb. She was a one owner and low miles when he brought her. Glad to see she is still running..

LUDEN Automotive my mum has some pictures I will get them onto here, I can’t remember how long we had her, we had a CB radio which I believe why there is small holes in the dash. She was in Hastings for sometime but noticed the action was Kings Lynn. Do you still own her and would love to see more pictures.

Did you notice that side windows are simillar to second generation of Alpine as A310? Nice piece of history plenty of character!

The interior is beautiful but you have to deal with the corrosion quickly before it’s too late. It was the car disease of those years. This rare Renault 17 deserves to be saved.

Hi there I think I owned that back in about 1981 ! Will have to check my old stock book, If it's the same one I did really well out of it, I bought it as a P/X from a main Renault dealer and retailed it straight away, It was a quick car in it's day, funny was only thinking about it yesterday !

@@ludenautomotive7332 Hi, Yes have checked it's the one alright ! First Reg 6/4/76, i bought it on the 28/02/81 from Russells the main Renault dealer in Bexhill, East Sussex and sold it to a guy in Hastings a few days later, I remember it had only done about 30k and went straight in the showroom as was so clean, non of the other traders wanted it as a bit unusual and I got it really cheap, I used to buy lots of Renaults at the time, 16's,17's, 15's etc but it was the only 17 Gordini I ever saw.

Nic Nak that is fantastic, thanks for checking! The Gordinis are certainly rare, though I’ve got this and another one. My dad used to be a Renault mechanic when he was young and even he’d never seen one. It’s a great little car and will be bright and lovely once again

Nic Nak yes she’s pretty solid! It’ll start as a tidy up and end up as a restoration, but I’m enjoying driving it too much for now. Apart from the obvious bodywork issues I’ve got to sort out the injection system as it’s currently carb fed. Interior is good as are most of the mechanicals but everything could use a little TLC
