We used to go to Ventnor every August from 1973, when I was one until 1979 and stayed at Channel View which was owned by Mr & Mrs Graham.

Great to see Ventnor so full of life - beached packed out. I remember those No 16 buses, and I also remember the massive radar antennas up on the down. That massive revolving one used to interfere with the early camcorders when it swept around towards you. Certainly brings back some great memories seeing these old clips.

Crikey - I bet that sign at the beginning rotted away a couple of years later. Everything looks the same and Boots the Chemist is still there. I trundled down those steps or a set exactly the same only two weeks ago hoping to get a clear shot / view into the sea (but failed). Great to see the pier - way before my time there. 1:20 - Not sure exactly where that footpath is - looks like it's on the main road (Leeson Road). I think they have since renumbered all the footpaths. I'm sure the building at 1:37 is still there but, alas, not the antennae. I went to Bonchurch a few times this year - twice in September and got off some cracking shots of The Old Church. 'Smuggler's Haven' is an excellent entranceway to The Undercliffe. The building at 2:10 (opposite the pond) was still there last time I looked but I have not visited this part of Bonchurch for a good few years. The name had changed though and probably has a few times since this film. Some lovely properties / buildings here and in St. Lawrwence. 2:17 - Back to Ventnor again. 2:29 - Is that Steephill Cove as it was then? Must have been a hot day as Ventnor beach is packed. Omitting the last 50 secs this is a great film - love the 70s cars too. Thanks for uploading.

Never heard of it - I must check it out. Presumably you mean Horseshoe Bay / Monks Bay which, I guess, it still accessible?
