A marvellous and unsurpassed piece of engineering, I've had 20 minutes of driving experience in one exactly like that but fuel injected, something I will never forget ..........there never was, never is or ever will be a car like this..........

Extra rare... 1975 carbie DS23 with hydraulic gearchange... Citromatic. Fabulous to drive 45 years later. I had a 1972 DS21 EFI 5 speed with leather and later a 1975 DS 23EFI 5 speed with Jersey in Australia.

The clock probably just needs to have the balance jewels cleaned and oiled. The lower one in particular gets dry and accumulates fine metal dust and the friction stops the clock. I fixed the clock in my SM about 15 years ago, and it's still running. The hardest part was opening up the housing, which is a metal can with bent-over fingers. Perhaps the one in the DS has easier access to the movement.

I like your car very much, and thanks for posting it. I just purchased a '74 DS 23 Electronique, which is basically sound but needs a complete bare metal paint job and complete upholstery renovation, so I will change the colour in the process (currently metalic silver), and yours is my prefered colour combination. Can you tell me the name of these colours and/or the codes for them, please? I am still toying with upholstery combinations. Leather looks great, but is cold in winter and hot and sweaty in summer, so I am considering leather with cloth cut-outs in the four seating areas? Do you have any suggestions for interior colour combinations? If I go for maroon leather, it may be too much red on the car over-all. So I will perhaps have grey carpets and head-liner, and greyish seating cut-outs.
