Being a civil service aspirant myself, your videos have always been so enlightening and refreshing. For example, till now, I only knew that Indira Gandhi was barred from election for malpractice. വളരെ വ്യക്തമായ അവതരണശൈലി. ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്ത കാര്യങ്ങളും രാഷ്ട്രീയ അതിപ്രസരവും ഒഴിവാക്കിയുള്ള അവതരണം നന്നായിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. അടിയന്തിരാവസ്ഥയുടെ ഭരണഘടനാപരമായ സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ വിശദീകരിച്ചതും പലർക്കും അറിവുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങൾ അല്ല. അടിയന്തിരാവസ്ഥക്ക്‌ മുമ്പും പിൻപും ഉണ്ടായ പ്രാധാന സംഭവങ്ങളും ഭരണഘടനാ ഭേദഗതികളും സംക്ഷിപ്തമായി വിവരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. അന്നു നടന്ന Railway Strike-നെ പരമർശിച്ചത്‌ നന്നായി. രാജ്യത്ത്‌ കോൺഗ്രസ്സ്‌ ഭരണത്തിനെതിരായി പല തരം പ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്ന സമയത്താണു ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധിയുടെ എലക്ഷൻ ജയം അസാധുവാക്കിയുള്ള വിധി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നത്‌. വിധിക്കെതിര അപ്പീൽ പോയപ്പോൾ ഇന്ദിരാഗന്ധിക്ക്‌ സുപ്രീം കോടതിയിൽ നിന്ന്‌ ഒരു താത്കാലിക Stay മാത്രമെ ലഭിച്ചുള്ളു. അതായത്‌ അപ്പീൽ സുപ്രീം കോടതി പിന്നീട്‌ പരിഗണിക്കും (വിചാരണ ചെയ്യും) അതു വരെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായി തുടരാം, പക്ഷെ എം പി സ്ഥാനം ഉണ്ടാകില്ല! തുടർന്ന്‌ മൊറാർജി പോലീസിനൊടും ആർമിയൊടും സർക്കാരിനെ അനുസരിക്കരുതെന്നു ഒരു ആഹ്വാനവും നടത്തി. ഇതൊക്കെ വീഡിയോവിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത്‌ 100% ശരിയാണു. എന്നാൽ അടിയന്തിരാവസ്ഥയുടെ Immediate Cause-നു കുറച്ചുകൂടി വിശദീകരണം ആവാം! രാഷ്ട്രത്തെ മുഴുവൻ ബാധിച്ച ഇന്നും ചർച്ചയിൽ വരുന്ന ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ ചില കമ്മന്റുകൾ ആവശ്യമാണു എന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. 1975-ജൂൺ 12-നു ജസ്റ്റിസ്‌ ജഗ്‌മോഹൻലാൽ സിൻഹ ഇന്ദിരയെ കുറ്റക്കാരിയായി വിധിക്കുകയും ലോകസഭാ സീറ്റ്‌ റദ്ദുചെയ്യുകയും 6 വർഷത്തേക്ക്‌ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ മത്സരിക്കുന്നതിൽനിന്ന്‌ അയോഗ്യയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത അലഹബാദ്‌ ഹൈക്കോടതി വിധി ജസ്റ്റിസ്‌ സിൻഹ വിധി 20- ദിവസത്തേക്ക്‌ stay- ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. അതായത്‌ ജൂലൈ 2 വരെ നിലവിലുള്ള Status Quo തുടരാം! എന്നാൽ ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധി സുപ്രീം കോടതിയിൽ അപ്പീൽ പോയപ്പോൾ, അപ്പീൽ വിധി കല്പ്പിക്കും വരെ unconditional stay കിട്ടിയില്ലെന്നു മാത്രമല്ല ഈ 20 ദിവസത്തെ stay നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു! (ഇത്‌ ആരും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാത്ത ഒരു കാര്യമാണു! ചർച്ചയിൽ പോലും വരാറില്ല) . V R Krishna Iyer ruled that although Mrs. Gandhi could no longer be a Member of Parliament, she was entitled to retain her position as Prime Minister. Totally meaningless too. സുപ്രീം കോടതി അപ്പീൽ വിചാരണ കഴിയുന്നതുവരെ സ്റ്റേ അനുവദിക്കാതിരുന്നത്‌ കൃഷ്ണയ്യരുടെ pseudo-left-image- നില നിർത്താൻ വേണ്ടി ആയിരുന്നു . കൊലപാത കേസുകളിൽ വറെ അപ്പീൽ പോയാൽ original വിധി ഉടൻ stay ചെയ്യപ്പെടും. അപ്പീൽ കോടതി തീരുമാനം ആകുന്നതുവരെ കീഴ്‌ക്കോടതി വിധി നടപ്പാക്കേണ്ട കാര്യമേ ഇല്ല . automatic-stay- ആണ്‌. കൃഷ്ണയ്യരെ സമീപിച്ചത്‌ stay ക്ക്‌ വേണ്ടിയാണു. അല്ലാതെ അപ്പീൽ വിധി പറയാനല്ല. അയ്യർ പറഞ്ഞത്‌ confusing ആണെന്നു പലരും പിന്നേട്‌ സമ്മതിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അയ്യർ പറഞ്ഞത തെറ്റാണെന്നു പറയാൻ ആർക്കും നട്ടെല്ല്‌ ഉണ്ടായില്ല. ഇത്‌ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ പ്രശ്നമാണു, അല്ലാതെ തൃശ്ശുരിൽ യൂത്ത്‌ കൊൺഗ്രസ്സും സി ഐ ടി യു വും തമ്മിൽ അടി നടന്നതിന്റെ സ്റ്റേ അല്ല! അതിൽ confusing ആയ വിധി കൃഷ്ണയ്യരുടെ നട്ടെല്ലില്ലായ്മയാണു കാണിക്കുന്നത്‌. ഈ സമയത്ത്‌ തന്നെ മൊറാർജി ദേശായ്‌ പോലീസിനൊടും ആർമിയൊടും സർക്കാരിനെ അനുസരിക്കരുതെന്നു ആഹ്വാനം നടത്തിയതും രാജ്യദ്രൊഹം തന്നെയാണു. തുടർന്നു Internal Disturabance Clause ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു State of Emergency പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു! ഏതു കൊലക്കുറ്റത്തിനു പോലും വധശിക്ഷ ലഭിച്ചാൽ പോലും അപ്പീൽ പോയാൽ ആദ്യത്തെ വിധിക്ക്‌ automatic stay ആണു. ഇവിടെ അറുവഷളനായ വി ആർ കൃഷ്ണയ്യർ unconditional stay അനുവദിച്ചില്ല. ഈ എരപ്പാളിത്തരം ആണു അവസാനമായി അടിയന്തിരാവസ്ഥയിലേക്ക്‌ നയിച്ചത്‌. (ഇന്ദിരയെ കുറ്റക്കാരിയായി വിധിക്കുകയും ലോകസഭാ സീറ്റ്‌ റദ്ദുചെയ്യുകയും 6 വർഷത്തേക്ക്‌ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ മത്സരിക്കുന്നതിൽനിന്ന്‌ അയോഗ്യയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത വിധി വെറും flimsy- കാരണങ്ങളെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു . യഥാർത്ഥ കാരണം ഇന്ദിരയെ താഴെ ഇറക്കാൻ പാശ്ചാത്യർ നടത്തിയ ഗൂഡാലോചന ആയിരുന്നു !) ഇന്ത്യയെ ഛിന്നഭിന്നമാക്കാൻ പാശ്ചാത്യശക്തികൾ കാത്തുനില്ക്കയായിരുന്നു. അതൊന്നും നമ്മുടെ തുക്കഡാ രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർക്ക്‌ മനസ്സിലാകില്ല. നെഹ്‌റുവിന്റെ ചേരിചേരാനയത്തിനും ശാസ്ത്രിയുടെ / ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധിയുടെ റഷ്യയുമായുള്ള അടുപ്പത്തിനും വലിയ ശത്രുക്കൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതേപോലെ തന്നെ നെഹ്‌റുവിന്റെ സുഹൃത്ത്‌ ആയിരുന്ന യൂഗോസ്ലാവിയയുടെ മാർഷൽ ടിറ്റോവിനും ശത്രുക്കൾ ഏറെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ടിറ്റോ മരിച്ച്‌ 10 വർഷത്തിന്നകം യൂഗോസ്ലാവിയയെ കഷണം കഷണമായി ചീന്തി .. ജർമ്മനി കടിഞ്ഞാൻ വലിച്ച ഇതിനു അമേരിക്ക മൗനമായി അനുവാദം നല്കി! ഇതു തന്നെയായിരുന്നു ഇന്ത്യയിലും ഇവരുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം.

@@vijiviyagparambil7038 നല്ല ചോദ്യം! എനിക്കറിയില്ല. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു പുസ്തകം ഉണ്ടൊ എന്ന് സംശയമാണു. ഇതിനു പ്രധാന കാരണം നമ്മുടെ ബുദ്ധിജീവികളുടെയും മീഡിയയുടെയും നട്ടെല്ലില്ലായ്മയാണു. തെറ്റ് സ്വയം ഒരിക്കലും സമ്മതിക്കില്ല. Empty Slogan-കളുടെ പിന്നാലെ പോകാൻ ഒരു മടിയുമില്ല. അടിയന്തിരാവസ്ഥയെ നെഗറ്റിവ് ആയി മാത്രം കാണുന്ന പ്രമർശങ്ങളാണു 99% വും - അന്നും ഇന്നും!!

കൃഷ്ണയ്യർ സോപാധിക സ്റ്റേ കൊടുത്തതു കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇന്ദിരയ്ക്ക് തുടരാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത്. മൊറാർജി അല്ല സമരം നയിച്ചതും ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തതും, ജയപ്രകാശ് ആയിരുന്നു. അന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു സമര സേനാനി ആയിരുന്നു ഞാൻ. എനിയ്ക്ക് ഇന്ന് 74 വയസ്സ് ' പോലീസ് മർദ്ദനത്തിൻ്റെ ബാക്കിപത്രം അനുഭവിച്ച് കഴിയുന്നു.
