Those steering dampers most definitely benefits those old 70's street bikes ! Had one on a 75 Honda CB400-F that helped its handling immensely. Very nice and clean H2⚡️💪😎

I remember 3 older guys in my neighborhood bought 2 purple ones , and a red one. Brand new. There is nothing like the blue smoke, and the smell.

I always thought it was the early H1 500s that were the Widowmakers.

I remember the early 500s had no steering damper and at above a certain speed the steering started to wobble throwing people off hence the name Widowmaker, I think it was called Tank Slap they fitted an adjustable damper on the 1972 model onwards I think it helped a bit.@@rodgercostello9814

My first bike also , raced at the local drag strip when I was 17 , back then the winner of the bikes got a trophy and then could race the winner of the cars , I won a lot until my father stopped me racing because he thought I was going to kill myself !

It’s just like my 72 but it’s not blue it does have the steering damper which is nice…. definitely have their own distinct sound
