I like the ventilated primary cover for the belt drive. Might be a good way to save damaged inner and outer primary covers.

FYI: Worn out shifter bushings..... I have had some pretty good success using silicone on the shafts to fill in for the worn bushings. It takes up the slack, prevents more wear and takes way some of the metallic rattle. It is a fix at I know but way less labor and material consuming. Lasts a good long while and easy to replace once it wears out. I get about 8-12 months out of it on my bike.

75 FLH owner myself, great work, the only thing i didnt like was where the shifter went onto the shaft (the one you had to hammer on and off) The first place this will fail, that shaft is suppose to be splined, i believe with the pressure you get from your leg/foot, the shifter will eventually slip there...
@TatroMachine5 жыл бұрын
old bikes are unsplined and new bike are splined. and yes they do slip, that is why harley change them. tatro

Good video. What works for me on these stubborn shifters splined or not is a small chisel or flat head in the shifter relief to spread it a bit and often it’ll slide right off.

Someone needs to mention planned lube and grease points to this customer. That '75 Shovelhead is dry as an old desert bone. Nice Le Pera Duct-Tape banana seat too.

This is just plain abuse..... how to take off the shifter? Put the right screwdriver in the slot, hit it once and just lift it off... 😂🤣
