Sixteen players makes for better football, less expense. Hope the AFL can be big enough to adopt this VFA improvement one day.

This is gold, mate. Where do you get something like this? Don't recall VCRs being on the market in '75.

As a Cats fan ofc l loved the Roosters and could never understand why Radojevic wasn't playing for Geelong.

I went to Geelong West games with my dad and they were good days.

@@jonburrows9816 There were so many guys running around in that Comp that seemed to be up to vfl level.. .Port had quite a few of them. Surely Billy Swan was good enough...l couldn't work it out. It was such an important part of the fabric of the city, long since lost. How a community is supposed to get behind something like Calder Falcons is beyond me...

So true mate, once the vfl started playing games on Sunday, that was the end of it, which raises the point that the real reason south went to Sydney was for that and to make it AFL and to get rid of all opposition ie the VFA.

@@simplesimon4717 How about the Wafl and Sanfl then? Pretty much reduced to Vfa level and they in turn being made extinct - Socialism is pure evil and designed to destroy everything it comes into contact with. EVERYTHING the Centralized Commission is responsible for has led to the utter destruction of the game. As good as Bradman was as a batsman was as inept as he was as an administrator. The players were offered a pittance to tour England in '75 and they all had full-time jobs. Huge crowds welcomed the Windies in '76, Bradman was from a completely different era that basically saw players as cattle and the Packer Revolution was inevitable and just. For a decade American sport had been completely corrupted by Commercialism and one can hardly blame Packer for following suit. I sometimes read in the comments on the Supertests of that era the surprise people have that so few attended but they cooda paid 50,000 people 10 bucks each to go along and still be coining it in, such was the amount of money they were making from advertising. Both South and Fitzroy were playing in front of very few people but the early Swans and Bears were playing in front of far less, and bith Suns and Giants are an abomination. It clicked to me some time ago that if they have at least two teams in each of the Bris, Adel and Perth "markets" then they can run ads all weekend. This is all sport is now. This on top of all of the socialist Woke lies.

I see they had the theme song written to include the year 1975.
