I own a Yamaha Banshee and while doing my research I learned that Yamaha took the RD350'S motor and slapped it in the Banshee. I saw your video and I gotta say, I think you have one of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen. If I owned this bike it would be on a stand in my living room like fine art when I am not out carving the curves up! Bravo sir.

Oneshotup all but watercooled.i tooke a 78 RD. 400 and slaped her on a banshee frame.was very fast and snappy, but the transmissions are not as good as the rd 350 s

Had one of those back in the 70's (75 RD350.) It was quicker than the Kawasaki H1 500, the Daytona Special 400 and pretty much any bike under 650cc's. It would outrun the 900's and 1000's of that era up to about 80mph. Then the bigger bikes would sail past.

that is a nice color scheme, Ive never seen an orange one. Based on the riders weight he should be able to stand that bike straight up in the air or at the least at a 45 degree angle without any clutch but maybe you didn't want to, that's ok too. Nice bike and you did a very nice job on it. Enjoy and Ride safe.

I'm in the process of building an r5 350. I plan on premixing. Fighting with an oil tank, pump, hoses, and making sure oil is in the tank is a pain. Or sense they are 40+ years old the pump might be broke. I'm most certain this builder did the same thing and runs premix.

He is only rolling the throttle on and the front wheel is coming up. Power wheelie. I have ridden and owned RD 's since 1978 and you dont wheelie an rd without useing the clutch in anything except first gear. If he didnt know what he was doing he would have snapped the throttle open and flipped it over but instead he is just doing power wheelies.

@@jamesmills9158 Really, well you were probably riding old worn out rd350's then. I bought brand new rd350's in 1973 and in 1975 then in 1976 bought an rd400 and they all would wheelie easily in 3rd gear without ever touching the clutch. they had that much torque. Road them all over California they were hugely popular. RZ350's were even more light in the front end. wonderful bikes.
