Because wax protects paint? Flat paint needs more protection than most. You’re not just buffing out imperfections

Jurassic park has a special place in my heart because that was the first movie I saw in a theater but Back to the Future is my all time favorite. I can watch it non stop it never gets old. I don't even understand why because its not really a "car movie". I think I love how American the movie is. lol

I am SO happy this video exists. I always loved Grif's BMW over any other car in the BTTF franchise. I would be honored to own this car own day and if not, I LAN on building a replica because they need to exist as much as DeLorean time machines and Toyota SR5 pickups.

This is incredible! I do wonder though why he missed the back grey section off the entire back end of the car when he painted it, it goes red to black to grey in the movies.

Apparently the haters didn't watch the whole video. It was a $400 import junker that didn't run when they got it for the production. For his to restore it not only back to its movie appearance, but also get it somewhat running, even if badly, is actually pretty cool. I love that he left the taillight busted. Nice touch.

You never really explained why the car is so gutless (power wise) other than that it was never meant to move. What engine does it have? The videowork is very professional. I really like these videos.

Love the film work you do and like the fact you're finding these cars. Hope you can film Marty's 1985 Toyota 4x4 before the 21st this month. Someone found the original film used truck and supposedly the guys at 22reperformance.com built the engine for that restored truck. Keep up the good work :)

Me too. I’m going to have to watch that movie again and pay really close attention to the cars. I went to Universal Studios in 1994 and the team went by some of the “2015” cars from BTTF 2. I could tell one was a Ford Probe.

sort the car out then you'll have a 635csi and a movie car, these cars have decent running gear and can do 0-60 in less than 8 seconds, I also suggest you strengthen it quickly because the roof is missing

Ok keeping the outside looking that way is fine, but fix the damn engine, trans, suspension. I owned one of these (79 gray market 633csi) and half my frame was rust and bondo and it at least ran correctly. The german writing all over everything made it fun to figure out what the hell something did sometimes.
