In 1975 Chrysler introduced the Cordoba to compete with large body luxury offerings such as the Oldsmobile Cutlass, Mercury Cougar, and Buick Regal. Equipped with more luxurious interiors than its competition it's easy to see why the Cordoba led in sales numbers especially being boosted by the ad campaigns led by Fantasy Island star Ricardo Montalban. Our 1976 is equipped with the 360CID V8 mated to the iconic torque flight 727 automatic transmission. The interior on this Cordoba was dubbed “Castillian” by Chrysler. It was apparently the industry’s first Jacquard interior upholstery, formulated no doubt for the leisure suit-attired clientele. That is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. I just bought a 76 today with some rear end damage. It has 51k miles on it and is going to be a good restore if I can get the damage repaired.

I bought one of these in 1989 after was sitting in someone backyard for a few years and collected some rust but I only paid $500 and it had power everything including the seats and most shocking the AC still worked and it had a 400 engine but it also had those old slotted mags on it so it sort of did look cool and it was red like this car but it was a really nice car to drive around despite how big it was.

I have 76 Cordoba and same side rear window trim and rear window trim were painted white with a roller by the last dumbass, was going to strip and use rattle can crome but I like how this was done. I hope I have enough paint leftover from the body.

The trunks in these were designed to carry a spare car in case the Cordova broke down, which mine never did.
