I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this vintage NFL Films Footage with Sam Spence Music and Narration by Harry Kalas & John Facenda! Pre-ESPN SportsCenter, NFL GOTW came on Saturdays. I was a young kid but I followed my Buffalo Bills and the NFL faithfully! We wld play football outside and Mimic these players!! We knew ALL of their names incl the Backups! The combination of Narration, music, and highlights is Top Notch!

After beating them in week one then to lose to them in a close one like this one, you can expect it in a division show down late in the year like that in week ten. The Baltimore Colts still won the division title that year in 1976. Still a great team and a great year to be a BALTIMORE COLTS FAN in Baltimore. We miss you all especially the great talent we had on the team those great years. Bert Jones , Rodger Carr, Lydell Mitchell the list goes on and on.

Houston was sort of a clearing house for veterans from other teams in the sunset of their illustrious careers; Altie Taylor (Lions) was on this ‘76 Oilers team, as was Tim Rossovich (Eagles), Earl Thomas (Cardinals), John Hadl (Chargers), Curley Culp (Chiefs), Mack Alston (Redskins), Joe Dawkins Broncos), and even Bubba Smith (Colts/Raiders), in the last year of his career.

Mike Haynes vs. Roger Carr! Haynes had size and Ball-hawking skills. He finished his HOF Career with the Raiders opposite Lester Hayes

Houston LB Robert Brazile running down fleet WR Isaac Curtis (85) at 18:40 - causing him to step out of bounds. Curtis was rarely caught, much less by a linebacker. Brazile (52) had a great NFL career with the Oilers.

I'm not a Bengals fan by any means, but I do think this was their best team from a complete team standpoint and that includes any of their Super Bowl teams

Love watching the bulldozer John Hannah just pancaking defensive players clearing the way for Cunningham, the Man was a devestating blocker, best in the NFL then and still to this day

You don't like the team because of their fans?

@@dallasbrubaker6054 combination of few things. Not sure why to be truthful .but for some some deep reason inside me liked teams I followed when thwy lost then when they won. Would explain perhaps why i have always liked the Cleveland browns and Charlie Brown is and always will be my favorite comic strip

@@briandelmore7188 as a kid I never liked Charlie Brown because he was always treated like shit and depicted as a loser.

@@briandelmore7188 did some chic pull the football away just as you were about to kick it? And Grogan was a pretty good QB that played on some pretty bad Patriot teams , his stats do not reflect the good QB that he was

@@Gregory-sm9pf Grogan will always be one of my favorites . you are right he was very underrated . Could run the ball very well, had he not hurt his knee early on in his career would have been even better.
