I have #1417 and acquired it in similar circumstances. Mine came in about 1500 pieces though . The previous owner tore it apart in 2002 and began his restore and lost interest. It sat in a warehouse in Odessa Texas until I bought it in 2019 . I just recently began its reassembly . Great fun but so much mystery along the way . Nothing was bagged and labeled . lol

Nice!! Lot's of progress, will post soon. Motor is almost done being assembled, car is back from paint and interior about to go back in once windows are re-installed. The puzzles are the hardest when we don't have pictures or items in labeled bags... I feel your pain!
