1977 Bus Clean Out (Part 2)

Finishing cleaning out the 1977 Bus. Found some important pieces and explanation to why the motor was pulled. Next build a motor and clean the interior!!!

What an amazing collection of VW bits and bobs... You would have a great time selling any unwanted parts at a VW Swap Meet, if they have them where you are... I look forward to the video of you sourcing a new motor for the Bus!

Yeah we do one at the drag strip like once a year. And a few videos back when we got the bus we also got a motor from the location. I currently have been re building it though... thank you for watching!

In a perfect world you’d lay this all out on tables with clear bins. But who has the space? At least the video is good documentation of your parts. As you noted, “where” these parts are found, and boxed, tells a story of what parts go together and previous attempts to fix. When you see this, I’m reminded why supporting these VW busses as everyday drivers was non-economic. But today, the high nostalgic demand keeps the prices very high - which makes the resto effort worthwhile.

Whats the reasoning? A normal cylinder head i could see why, but a vw cylinder head seals inside the circular area which would not touch the ground?
