Great video. I'm restoring my 1976 automatic VW T2 camper and this video really came in handy.

Fantastic job, well done. What a rebuild...and it moves... even if you still need to make some minor adjustments... good on you!

kind of looked like an exhaust leak under that motor as it left the garage...

Nice automatic! I have an automatic as well & actually enjoy driving it. I had to figure out how to get a kick rod to work and to turn my carb backwards for it to all work together. Im still a newb in this but we set my idle a little high as well. Once I put it in gear then, it drops down to a good place.

Yeah the autos are definitely interesting, but it's been a blast to drive either way.

@hifivegarage6977 hell yeah!! I appreciate the videos on the engine build too. Id love to find an engine to start tearing apart and learn to rebuild myself. Thanks brother, enjoy your bus man!

I think i know that noise... I had that trouble this weekend... My starter wouldn't stop engaging while the van was running, or it would kick in and out. In my case i had a hard start relay that went bad. And it killed my starter and i had to replace it and remove the hard start relay.

Yeah i am almost sure you starter is sticking in the engaged position
